Ginger Helland was found not guilty of a similar charge in 2014, in a case involving the deaths of eight horses.<\/p>\n<p>Court documents do not list an attorney for the couple, and a home telephone listing is not in service. They&#8217;re scheduled to make initial court appearances on June 28.<\/p>\n<p>View <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/Prairie-Paws-Rescue-127249517494\/?fref=ts\" target=\"_blank\">Prairie Paws on Facebook<\/a><\/p>\n<p>View <a href=\"http:\/\/www.prairiepawsrescue.com\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\">Prairie Paws Website<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Previously&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Kathryn (KVLY &#8211; CSi) 64 dogs are recovering after being rescued from unfit conditions in Barnes County.<\/p>\n<p>KVLY reports that court records show Karl and Ginger Helland of Kathryn, North Dakota are both facing a misdemeanor animal neglect charge in the case.<\/p>\n<p>Ginger Helland was found not guilty of a similar charge in 2014.<\/p>\n<p>The dogs have had a make-shift home at the Valley City Winter Show building since last week thanks to Prairie Paws Rescue<\/p>\n<p>Prairie Paws Rescue, Co-founder, Rebekah Johnson said volunteers are desperately needed.<\/p>\n<p>She said, &#8220;Usually we get a lot of volunteers right away at the beginning of these types of events, then they start to dwindle off,&#8221; Johnson said. &#8220;We need people throughout the next two months because that\u2019s how long we could have them.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday, a veterinarian gave the dogs an overall wellness check.<\/p>\n<p>Anyone wishing to help may contact Prairie Paw Rescue at (701) 320-4553 or email at prairiepawsrescue@hotmail.com.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Previously&#8230;.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Valley City (CSi) Prairie Paws Rescue\u00a0of\u00a0Jamestown, assisted the Barnes County Sheriff\u2019s Office when 64 dogs were seized in the county by the North Dakota Veterinarians Office .<\/p>\n<p>The Office recommended that the dogs be confiscated from the property.<\/p>\n<p>Prairie Paws Rescue is assisting the Barnes County Sheriff\u2019s Office in the care of the dogs, as the investigation continues.<\/p>\n<p>Kaye John with Prairie Paws is now asking for donations of dog food, treats, toys, and chew bones.<\/p>\n<p>Donations of money also accepted to help with on-going expenses like gas, transportion, and supplies for the upkeep of temporary kennels.<\/p>\n<p>Volunteers are needed .
