We paid a refund to somebody.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Thompson said &#8220;Someone had got a hold enough of my information to file an income tax return and got a refund in my name.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Thompson believes his information was taken from the database with a store or an employer.<\/p>\n<p>The T.V. station reported that authorities do not believe Chief Thompson&#8217;s identity theft is related to the Valley City State University thefts.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Valley City, ND (WDAY TV) &#8211; Valley City Police Chief Fred Thompson says he\u2019s a victim of identity theft.
