Justin Blinsky says two Jamestown men age 18- and 20 accessed the rooftop of the building by a back staircase, later telling police they were going to take photographs.<\/p>\n<p>A 56 year old male occupant of the second floor apartment, later \u00a0identified in court records as Lorenzo Montoya\u00a0confronted the two men threatening them with harm, brandishing a weapon.<\/p>\n<p>The suspect allowed them to leave. Police were called. \u00a0Police then executed a search warrant for the apartment and found weapons, one of which was the weapon the man\u00a0allegedly \u00a0 brandished, along with a quantity of drugs. Lt. Blinsky says the suspect offered no resistance when taken into custody.<\/p>\n<p>Police cleared the scene about 9:30 a.m. Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Montoya was charged with Class \u201cC\u201d Felonies, in Southeast District Court\u00a0including Terrorizing, Felonious Restraint, Possession of a Controlled Substance methamphetamine, and Possession of a Controlled Substance marijuana.<\/p>\n<p>Additional charges stemming from the investigation included\u00a0Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, other than marijuana, a Class A Misdemeanor, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia\u2026 marijuana, a Class B Misdemeanor.<\/p>\n<p>A court date for his initial appearance has not yet been set.<\/p>\n<p>Lt. II Drug -Clonazepam<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown\u00a0 (CSi)\u00a0 The Jamestown Street Department repaired a water main break Friday morning.<\/p>\n<p>City Water Department Superintendent, Steve Suko says the main break was on First Street west, between Second Avenue and Third Avenue Southwest.<\/p>\n<p>Traffic\u00a0was detoured\u00a0from First Street West, while the pipe was repaired. Just businesses along that block\u00a0were afffected with a water outage, which has since been restored following the repair.<\/p>\n<p>The excavation was filled and brought up to grade, and\u00a0 barricaded with patching of the area to come next.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>St. Paul (CSi) The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, is hosting an open house at Lake Ashtabula, northwest of Valley City on Saturday, July 9, 2016, in honor of the district\u2019s 150th anniversary.<\/p>\n<p>The public is invited to attend the open house from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Mel Rieman Recreation Area. The event will include tours of Baldhill Dam, visitor center exhibits and free root beer floats to the first 150 people.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>LaMoure\u00a0(CSi)\u00a0 The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports a Gwinner man was injured in a motorcycle accident Saturday about\u00a0\u00a04:50-p.m., on Highway 13 eastbound three miles west of LaMoure.<\/p>\n<p>The motorcycle\u00a0operated by 24 year old Brice Christensen was traveling eastbound on Highway 13, approximately three miles west of the Lamoure,\u00a0when the motorcycle \u00a0began to wobble and the driver lost control.\u00a0\u00a0It went down on the roadway, and he was separated from the motorcycle.<\/p>\n<p>He\u00a0\u00a0was transported to Oakes Hospital\u00a0for treated\u00a0of injuries.\u00a0He was then taken by life flight to Sanford Health in Fargo.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Sanborn\u00a0 (CSi)\u00a0 The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports a one vehicle accident on Barnes County Highway 22 a mile west of Sanborn about 6:25 a.m., Sunday injured a 22 year\u00a0old Eckelson man.<\/p>\n<p>The report says Tyler Didier was westbound in a 2014 Ram pickup\u00a0and drove into the south ditch while texting, striking an approach and then rolling in the ditch.<\/p>\n<p>He was transported by Barnes County Ambulance\u00a0to Mercy Hospital in Valley City to be treated for injuries.<br \/>\nThe crash remains under investigation by the NDHP.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>(CSi)\u00a0\u00a0 The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports, on Saturday, June 25, 2016, at approximately 11:35 am, the North Dakota Highway Patrol responded with the Benson County Sheriff\u2019s Department to a report of a train\/pedestrian crash in Leeds, ND.<\/p>\n<p>The report was made when BNSF Railroad employees saw what they believed to be a body on the tracks. Upon arrival at the scene, responding officers discovered that a 55 year old man, from Leeds, had died on the railroad tracks, but not due to being struck by a train.<\/p>\n<p>The North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation, and the Benson County Coroner also responded to the scene to investigate the unattended death. This death remains under investigation by the North Dakota BCI, the Benson County Sheriff\u2019s Department, and the ND State Forensic Medical Examiner\u2019s Office. At this point in the investigation there is no suspicion of foul play.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) &#8211; Authorities arrested a man on numerous charges after a 75-mile chase through Burleigh, Morton and Oliver counties.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The incident began shortly before 10 a.m. Sunday when Bismarck police responded to a report of a fight. Authorities eventually attempted a traffic stop in Mandan during which they say a female passenger yelled for help and unsuccessfully tried to exit the vehicle.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The man driving the vehicle fled. Authorities say that during the pursuit the female passenger called 911 and said the man had a knife and was stabbing himself.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The chase eventually ended in Oliver County and the 46-year-old man was arrested on charges including fleeing, terrorizing, reckless endangerment and felonious restraint. He was treated at a hospital and taken to jail.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The female also was treated for minor injuries.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) &#8211; Formal charges are pending against a man suspected of breaking into several Grand Forks businesses over the weekend.<\/p>\n<p>The 19-year-old man is suspected of breaking into a thrift store, a gas station and two fast-food restaurants. Authorities say all of the businesses had broken windows.<\/p>\n<p>Nothing appeared to be missing from at least two of the businesses. It wasn&#8217;t immediately clear if anything was taken from the other two.<\/p>\n<p>The suspect was arrested near the thrift store early Saturday, on charges including burglary, criminal trespass, criminal mischief and being a minor in consumption of alcohol.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) &#8211; North Dakota&#8217;s insurance commissioner says damage claims from a storm last week in the Bismarck area total more than $39 million so far.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Adam Hamm says there have been &#8220;significant reports&#8221; of damage to homes, vehicles, commercial property and other property from the June 17 storm.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 He says insurance carriers have brought in adjusters from across the region to handle the claims.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Hamm says Insurance Department&#8217;s Fire and Tornado Fund also has been notified of damages to public facilities.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>WATFORD CITY, N.D. (AP) &#8211; North Dakota regulators are holding a public hearing in Watford City on a proposed $5 million oil pipeline in McKenzie County.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Plains All American Pipeline has applied for a permit for the Johnsons Corner to Dakota Access Pipeline Project, a 3.5-mile long, 24-inch diameter crude pipeline.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 It would have a maximum capacity of 150,000 barrels per day, with a normal flow of about one-third that.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The Public Service Commission hearing is scheduled for 11 a.m. Central time Monday at Teddy&#8217;s Residential Suites in Watford City.<br \/>\n\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>MINOT, N.D. (AP) &#8211; Gov. Jack Dalrymple says fighting a losing battle against Souris River floodwaters five years ago was &#8220;very surreal.&#8221;<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The June 2011 flood caused by heavy spring snowmelt and rains damaged or destroyed thousands of homes and other structures in Minot and caused an estimated $1 million in damage in the region.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0State officials were monitoring the situation as it developed but that the flood still came on fast. (AP) &#8211; State Engineer Todd Sando is retiring at the end of the month from the North Dakota State Water Commission after a 31-year career in state government.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Sando got his start at the State Water Commission as a recurring summer intern while he was studying civil engineering at the University of North Dakota. But his career began in 1985 when he was hired as a water resource engineer.
