Jamestown (CSi) The Jamestown City Fire Department was called out at 9-a.m.,<\/p>\n
on Tuesday to 1012 10th<\/sup> Street Northeast.<\/p>\n Lt. Sheldon Mohr says a lawn chair outside the building was on fire, with the likely cause, smoking materials.<\/p>\n No other damage, and no injuries reported.<\/p>\n The five city fire units and 21 firefighters cleared the scene at 9:13-a.m.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Jamestown (CSi) The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports an ag-sprayer and semi collided Tuesday about 3-p.m. on highway 20, 4 miles north of Courtenay.<\/p>\n The sprayer driven by 28 year old Taylor Rose of Wimbledon finished spraying a nearby field, then continued eastbound on a gravel township road at approximately 25 miles per hour for a short distance before slowing for an intersection at Highway 20. Rose disregarded the stop sign and continued through the intersection at about 15 miles per hour.<\/p>\n 43 year old James Ambrosier of Ault Colorado was southbound in the Peterbilt at approximately 65 miles per hour with a load of sand when he observed the sprayer slowing for the intersection. When Rose failed to stop, Ambrosier braked and drove onto the northbound lane, attempting to avoid the crash. The sprayer struck the side of the dump trailer and came to rest on the roadway. Rose was ejected. The truck slowed and stopped on the southbound shoulder. Highway 20 was shut down for approximately one hour.<\/p>\n Rose was taken by Jamestown Area Ambulance Service to JRMC, and then was flown to Fargo for continued observation.<\/p>\n Also responding to the scene were the Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office and Courtenay Quick Response.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Jamestown (CSi) The Jamestown Police Department is warning residents of a convicted sex offender who is living out of the county, but working in Jamestown.<\/p>\n Ramon Martinez, Jr.,is living at the Parkhurst Campground and working in Jamestown.<\/p>\n Has presently has no vehicle.<\/p>\n He is a 37 year old male, five feet six inches tall, and 150 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair.<\/p>\n He has been assigned a high risk assessment by the North Dakota Risk Level Committee of the North Dakota Attorney General\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n He has been convicted of Corrupt\/Solicitation of a minor involving a 15 year old girl at his Fargo residence.<\/p>\n Convicted in December of 2007 in Cass County District Court.<\/p>\n Disposition, five years, one year suspended, 10 years supervised release.<\/p>\n He has been convicted of Corrupt \/Solicitation of a minor providing alcohol to a 16 year old girl and then had sex with her.<\/p>\n He was convicted in October of 2001 in Richland County District Court.<\/p>\n Disposition, one year-359 days suspended for one year.<\/p>\n He is currently on probation with North Dakota Parole and Probation, is on GPS monitoring.<\/p>\n Martinez is not wanted by police at this time and has served the sentence imposed by the court.<\/p>\n This notification is meant for public safety and not to increase fear in the community, nor should this information be used to threaten, assault, or intimidate the offender.<\/p>\n Any attempts to harass, intimidate or threaten these offenders, their families, landlords, or employers will be turned over for prosecution.<\/p>\n Printed handouts of the demographics of Ramon Martinez, Jr., are available at the Jamestown Police Department.<\/p>\n More information on registered sex offenders is available at the North Dakota Attorney General\u2019s web site: www.sexoffender.nd.gov<\/p>\n \u3000<\/p>\n Jamestown (CSi) Meeting Tuesday the Spiritwood Energy Park Association heard information concerning possible future tenants at the Energy Park.<\/p>\n Great River Energy Project Manager Rich Garmin said, four businesses are inquiring deeply on potentially locating to the park. They include a Biomass Refinery, a Barley Processing Plant, an Agriculture Bioprocessing Facility and a Medical Supply Manufacturer<\/p>\n He said none have committed at this time .<\/p>\n At Tuesday’s Jamestown City Council meeting JSDC CEO Connie Ova said a business will be making an announcement in the next few weeks about locating at the Energy Park.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Jamestown (CSi) The Jamestown City Council\u2019s Finance & Legal Committee Building, Planning & Zoning Committee, and Civic Center & Promotion Committee met Tuesday evening at City Hall. Director Jennifer Feist explained that the request is made toward additional expenditures for children under care, to create 50 more slots for additional children.
