(AP) \u2014 North Dakota&#8217;s new governor told state agency leaders that the goal during his administration will be to make state government more efficient and responsive to citizens.<\/p>\n<p>Republican Doug <span style=\"color: red;\">Burgum<\/span> took office Thursday. The one-time computer software executive turned philanthropist outlined his goals to state agency directors Thursday at the state Capitol in Bismarck.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: red;\">Burgum<\/span> touted familiar campaign themes during the 15-minute meeting, such as promises to cut spending and halt property tax increases, and to turn downtown areas into vibrant social and economic hubs that are attractive to live in.
