Opponents who’ve protested for months have been leaving their main camp in southern North Dakota.<\/p>\n
Burgum said the pipeline is good for the North Dakota economy and is the safest method to move oil.<\/p>\n
He also said he will seek reimbursement from the federal government to cover the $17 million it has cost the state to date in protest-related law enforcement costs.<\/p>\n
