(AP) \u2014 North Dakota\u2019s three Republican presidential electors have cast their support for Donald Trump.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Some Trump opponents have responded to his victory by trying to persuade Electoral College voters to break with the results in their state.<\/p>\n<p>That didn\u2019t happen in Monday\u2019s vote in North Dakota, where Trump was an easy winner last month over Hillary Clinton.<\/p>\n<p>North Dakota has three of the 538 votes in the Electoral College, which elects the president and vice president of the United States.<\/p>\n<p>North Dakota\u2019s electors are John Olson of Bismarck, Bev Clayburgh of Grand Forks and Duane Mutch of Larimore.<\/p>\n<p>Since North Dakota became a state in 1889, Republican candidates have swept its electoral votes in all but six presidential elections. No Democrat has carried the state since Lyndon B. Johnson in 1964.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Previously&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Bismarck\u00a0 (CSi)\u00a0 \u00a0North Dakota\u2019s Presidential Electors will cast their ballots Monday, Dec. 19, 2016 during a meeting convened by Gov. Doug Burgum.<\/p>\n<p>As prescribed in state law, the meeting will begin at 1 p.m. in the Governor\u2019s Conference Room on the ground floor of the State Capitol, 600 East Boulevard Ave., Bismarck.<\/p>\n<p>The three electors are Beverly Clayburgh of Grand Forks, Duane O. Mutch of Larimore and John M. Olson of Bismarck.<\/p>\n<p>After each elector has voted, Secretary of State Al Jaeger will collect the Presidential ballots and canvass the votes.
