Phillip Hatcher, as Acting Chief.<\/p>\n<p>City Administrator, David Schelkoph says the police chief\u2019s position is being advertised for, with the application deadline tentatively set for January 27, 2017.<\/p>\n<p>The applications will be reviewed by a committee, made up of officials from Valley City, and Barnes county along with one citizen to be named later.<\/p>\n<p>The city is also seeking a new city attorney.<\/p>\n<p>Russell Myhre earlier this month, indicated that he will stay on for six months, or until a new city attorney is hired and approved by the city.<\/p>\n<p>He also said that he will work with the city during the transition period.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Valley City\u00a0 (CSi)\u00a0 Valley City officials \u00a0are seeking to fill two city positions.
