(AP) \u2014 North Dakota health officials say widespread flu\u00a0activity has doubled since the beginning of January and caused at least one death.<\/p>\n<p>State Department of Health spokeswoman Jill Baber says flu\u00a0cases are expected to peak in the next couple of weeks.<\/p>\n<p>Of the 455 reported flu\u00a0cases, 24 people have been hospitalized and an elderly person has died. Baber says she\u2019s aware of a couple of other deaths and hospitalizations that haven\u2019t been officially reported.<\/p>\n<p>She says the H3N2 strain is predominate this year.
