Work started immediately on the last part\u00a0of construction.<\/p>\n<p>The Cheyenne River Sioux has asked Boasberg to stop the work while a lawsuit filed earlier by the tribe and the Standing Rock Sioux proceeds.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/DAPLpipelineMultiState.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-115021\" src=\"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/DAPLpipelineMultiState-300x202.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"202\" srcset=\"https:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/DAPLpipelineMultiState-300x202.png 300w, https:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/DAPLpipelineMultiState-260x175.png 260w, https:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/DAPLpipelineMultiState.png 445w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>The Standing Rock Sioux tribe also has vowed to fight the construction in court.<\/p>\n<p>Law enforcement is on heightened alert for protest activity in the area where the developer of the Dakota Access oil pipeline is drilling under a Missouri River reservoir in North Dakota.<\/p>\n<p>Energy Transfer Partners got the needed permission from the Army on Wednesday night to lay pipe under Lake Oahe. Work started right away on the last chunk of construction for the $3.8 billion pipeline to carry North Dakota oil to Illinois.<\/p>\n<p>Opponents have camped in the area for months, often clashing with police. There have been nearly 700 arrests since August.<\/p>\n<p>Highway Patrol Lt.
