\u00a0WDAY reports <\/a>that details were not immediately available, but the sheriff\u2019s office said the North Dakota State Fire Marshal\u2019s Office has been called in to help investigate the fire.<\/div>\n

It was not clear from the information released by the Sheriff\u2019s Office which church building in Nome was burning Wednesday afternoon, but a photo a bystander provided The Forum showed it is the former Zion Lutheran Church.<\/p>\n

White supremacist Craig Cobb was listed on a recent deed as an owner of the now dilapidated structure, though Nome residents told The Forum earlier this week — for a front-page story published Wednesday about Cobb’s pending arrival in town — that it didn\u2019t appear as if Cobb had moved in yet.<\/p>\n

Cobb told WDAY\u00a0 that the fire was \u201c100 percent arson\u201d and is offering a $2,000 reward for any information related to the incident.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Cobb has previously tried to establish white supremacist enclaves in two other North Dakota towns.<\/div>\n
