Jamestown, ND<\/p>\n Orton has no vehicle.<\/p>\n He has been assigned a high risk assessment \u00a0by the North Dkaot risk level committee of the North Dakota Attorney General\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n He was convicted of Gross Sexual Imposition involving a\u00a0 14 year old girl, who was a runaway, and on drugs and intoxicated.<\/p>\n Conviction: December 2014 in Burleigh County District Court.<\/p>\n Disposition: 10 years\u2026all but 11 month suspended, five years supervised probation.<\/p>\n Also…<\/p>\n Jamestown Police is warning Jamestown residents of a convicted sex offender who has changed her address in\u00a0 Jamestown.<\/p>\n She presently has no vehicle.<\/p>\n She is a 24 year old female American Indian, five feet five inches tall weighing 125 pounds with brown eyes and black hair.<\/p>\n She has been assigned a high risk assessment by the North Dakota risk level committee, of the North Dakota Attorney General\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n Offensive\u00a0 Corruption\/Solicitation of a Minor, when she was 20 years old involving a sexual relationship with a 14 year old female.<\/p>\n Conviction date: October 2012 in Barnes County, ND<\/p>\n Disposition:\u00a0 366 days, all but 90 days suspended, credit for time served, one year supervised probation.<\/p>\n Neither individual is wanted by police at this time, and has served the sentence imposed by the court.<\/p>\n This notification is meant for public safety and not to increase fear in the community, nor should this information be used to threaten, assault, or intimidate the offender.<\/p>\n Any attempts to harass, intimidate or threaten these offenders, their families, landlords, or employers will be turned over for prosecution.<\/p>\n Printed handouts of their demographics\u00a0 are available at the Jamestown Police Department.<\/p>\n More information on registered sex offenders is available at the North Dakota Attorney General\u2019s web site: www.sexoffender.nd.gov<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Wahpeton (CSi) \u2013 Interstate Engineering, a recognized leader in engineering, surveying and planning, announced it has acquired Ackerman Land Surveying. Heitkamp’s Office…<\/p>\n Washington (CSi) \u2013 <\/strong>U.S. Senator Heidi Heitkamp, a member of the Senate Committee on Small Business & Entrepreneurship, Wednesday announced two federal grants totaling $144,000 in federal funding to the Tri-County Regional Development Council in Williston and the South Central Dakota Regional Council in Jamestown to support economic development planning in North Dakota.<\/p>\n The federal funds are made available through the Economic Development Administration (EDA), a bureau of the U.S. Department of Commerce. This EDA funding, which will help communities establish economic development strategies, would be eliminated under President Trump\u2019s budget<\/a> which he announced two weeks ago. These economic planning strategies aid North Dakota economic development councils across North Dakota in bringing together both public and private resources that will help small businesses, create jobs, and long-term growth.<\/p>\n Heitkamp says, \u201cThese federal funds reinforce why it\u2019s so important to continue strong investments in rural America. When we partner those federal funds with investments from the private sector, it enables North Dakota businesses to grow and thrive, supporting jobs, families, and safe neighborhoods. But these funds wouldn\u2019t be available if the president\u2019s budget is put to action \u2013 and our towns would directly feel the impacts.
