Chances diminish Monday night.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Update…<\/p>\n (CSi) Phone services\u00a0 returned to normal about 4:20-p.m., Friday after a Century Link fiber was cut in West Fargo shortly after noon Friday.<\/p>\n A fiber optic line was cut Friday April 21, \u00a0along 32nd Ave in the West Fargo, ND area.<\/p>\n Cell phone users can now call Century Link landline numbers, and long distance calls can be received.<\/p>\n Century Link’s Rachel Woodman,\u00a0says\u00a0t a third-party construction crew caused the damage to the company’s fiber-optic cable early Friday afternoon.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Reported earlier here on Friday, afternoon:<\/p>\n West Fargo\u00a0 (CSi) Century Link reports that a fiber optic line was cut Friday along 32nd Ave in the West Fargo area.<\/p>\n Century Link engineers are onsite repairing the fiber line, \u00a0per a Century Link engineer that talked to CSi Friday afternoon.<\/p>\n The cut line has disrupted services in the Valley City and Jamestown areas.<\/p>\n AT&T cell users have difficulty calling landline numbers, Verizon customers are unable to\u00a0 call Century link land lines and vice versa.\u00a0 Also Century Link land lines are unable to call outside of Jamestown & Valley City areas. \u00a0 In Jamestown, \u00a0Dakota Central users are unable to call Century Link landlines, \u00a0and vice versa.<\/p>\n Century Link\u2019s Rachel Woodman, says\u00a0 the break is disrupting phone and broadband service to some individuals.<\/p>\n She adds that an estimated time for completion of repairs will not be available until the evaluation is complete.<\/p>\n Stutsman County 9-1-1 Coordinator, Jerry Bergquist says 9-1-1 calls from other phone providers were still getting through.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Valley City\u00a0 (CSi)\u00a0 The cause of a\u00a0 house fire at 243 3rd Avenue Northwest in Valley City was accidental.<\/p>\n The fire was reported at 11:52-p.m, on Thursday April 13, 2017.<\/p>\n Valley City Fire Chief Gary Retterath the fire started in a second floor bedroom, with the cause electrical, started by an appliance, involving an electrical cord.<\/p>\n He says the house is\u00a0 a total loss.<\/p>\n A fund has been established at First Community Credit Union in Valley City to assist the Leslie Uecker family displaced by the fire, as they lost all their belongings in the fire.<\/p>\n Cash donations can be made there\u00a0 on behalf of the Uecker family in Valley City.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Valley City\u00a0\u00a0 (CSi)\u00a0 The Valley City Area Chamber of Commerce and Development Corporation held it\u2019s annual banquet April 20, 2017, at VCSU.<\/p>\n Tim Kadrmas received the Hi Line Award for his years of service to the community, including founding the regional Soap Box Derby\u00a0 in Valley City.<\/p>\n The Community Image Award went\u00a0 to three businesses: The GrandStay Hotel & Suites, Puklich Chevrolet and the Gaukler Family Wellness Center.<\/p>\n The Business of the year award was presented\u00a0 to Smith Lumber Company,\u00a0 for their support of many community events. The Jeep, driven by 26 year old Joran Griffin,\u00a0 was also eastbound on I-94 near mile marker 159.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n
