The Senate must take up the measure now.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Senate is sending President Donald Trump the first big bill of his presidency. It’s a $1.1 trillion spending bill to keep the government running through September _ putting off, for now, battles over Trump’s U.S.-Mexico border wall and his promised military buildup. That’s according to a U.S. official and an official from the Iraqi government. They say the discussions are ongoing and nothing is finalized. But the talks point to a consensus that a longer-term presence of American troops in Iraq is needed to ensure that an insurgency does not bubble up again once the militants are driven out.

CSi Weather… TONIGHT…Mostly clear.
