The National Weather Service says Bismarck reached 88 degrees by mid-afternoon Sunday, more than 20 degrees above the average maximum temperature. Williston was at 87 degrees Sunday after tying a record high of 89 on Saturday. The temperature in Dickinson had soared to 89 by Sunday.\u00a0 \u00a0On Sunday Jamestown&#8217;s high was 79 degrees, the record is 99 degrees set in 1934.day afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>Temperatures will fall to more seasonal levels in the upper 60s and low 70s for the rest of the week as a cold front moves through.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown (CSi) Just after 3pm on Sunday Afternoon, \u00a0the Jamestown City Fire Department was called to a home at 1014\u00a0 15th Street Southwest. \u00a0Neighbors reported the fire after having smelled smoke and\u00a0 a fire was found Sheldon Mohr says there were no injuries with five city fire units and 25 firefighters on the scene about 45 minutes.<\/p>\n<div class=\"node-body\">The cause of\u00a0the fire is still undetermined.<\/div>\n<div class=\"node-body\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"node-body\">Photos by CSiNewsNOW.com<\/div>\n<div class=\"node-body\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"node-body\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"node-body\">\n<p>Buchanan\u00a0 (CSi) \u00a0\u00a0 &#8212;\u00a0 The Jamestown Rural Fire Department was called out just after 1-p.m.,\u00a0 Sunday to 8394 21a5 Street Southeast, rural Buchanan \u00a0where a controlled burn spread.<\/p>\n<p>Rural Fire Chief Ben Maulding says a fire in a burn pit got into \u00a0brush but did not spread to a structure.<\/p>\n<p>Five Rural Fire Department trucks and 10 firefighters were on the scene about an hour and half.<\/p>\n<p>The fire danger level was high in Stutsman County on Sunday.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"node-body\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"node-body\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"node-body\">\n<p>Jamestown\u00a0 (CSi)\u00a0 The James River Humane Society has helped with giving dogs to organizations that have in turn aided in the Wounded Warriors Program and has assisted \u00a0flood victims.<\/p>\n<p>On Friday\u2019s Wayne Byers Show on CSi Cable 2, Shelter Board Member, Jay Nitchke said, \u201cScout,\u201d a Black Lab was determined to be a dog that met the criteria of being capable of assistance and was sent to a South Dakota K-9 Center, where he was trained, in search and rescue, and was recently deployed to assist in Texas flooding.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, \u201cBraxton,\u201d a three year old Pit Bull Terrier, was rescued from a North Carolina \u201ckill shelter,\u201d and after a year at the James River Humane Society, was trained in Minnesota, for placement in the Wounded Warriors program.<\/p>\n<p>Also on our show Jay added that May is Spay and Neuter of your pets month, and encouraged pet owners to spay or neuter their dogs, or cats, to control the pet population.<\/p>\n<p>She reminded viewers that a fundraiser is\u00a0 a memorial to pets or people, with a plaque that will be placed on a dog or cat kennel.<\/p>\n<p>She said for a donation of $100 or more, for one year the name of the pet or person will be placed on the kennel. \u00a0\u00a0After the year, another donation of at least $100 will keep the plaque in place on the kennel.<\/p>\n<p>For more information on that and animal adoptions, and volunteer opportunities, contact the James River Humane Society, located off the Bloom I-94 Exit, at 701-252-0747.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"node-body\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"node-body\">\n<p>Jamestown\u00a0 (CSi)\u00a0 The South Central Homeless Coalition will meet at Trinity Lutheran Church on Tuesday May 9th at 10-a.m.<\/p>\n<p>Items for discussion will include the recent blessing bag drive, their visit to Lake Region Shelter, and funding for homeless efforts and housing.<\/p>\n<p>Deputy Director Cassie DuBray \u00a0says, \u201cAny person, business, organization or institution within the Coalition\u2019s service area interested in the issues of homelessness and\/or the less fortunate shall be eligible for membership in the Coalition.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The coalition meets monthly on the second Tuesday of the month.<\/p>\n<p>Call 1-855-212-0212 and then enter 394-436-901 for more information.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"node-body\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"node-body\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"node-body\">\n<p>BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) \u2014 A 34-year-old man is dead after crashing his car in Bismarck.<\/p>\n<p>Police say the crash happened just after 10 p.m. Friday on University Drive in south Bismarck. The man was the only person in the car. He was pronounced dead at a hospital.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities have not released the name of the driver.<\/p>\n<p>Police are investigating.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"node-body\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"node-body\">\n<p>MINOT, N.D. (AP) \u2014 Police are investigating an incident in which anti-Semitic and racist words and images were scrawled on the door of a Minot church.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0 vandalism to the Church of the Living God occurred late Saturday or early Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>The Rev. Ensley Windham says the church is a mixed non-denominational congregation, primarily black but with some white and Native American members.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"node-body\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"node-body\">\n<p>MINOT, N.D. (AP) \u2014 A federal agency has filed a lawsuit accusing a Minot construction company of sexual harassment.<\/p>\n<p>The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission says Jennifer Gerard was subjected to a hostile work environment and intolerable work conditions while she was employed as a truck driver at Keller Paving and Landscaping, Inc. in 2013.<\/p>\n<p>The complaint says Gerard was the victim of sexual harassment on the part of several male co-workers. The behavior allegedly continued after Gerard complained to company owners and the site manager.
