The Public Service Commission had given the project siting approval in 2008. However, it was never built.<\/p>\n<p>The developer has filed a new siting application \u2013 and the PSC has scheduled a hearing on it.<\/p>\n<p>Commissioners Julie Fedorchak\u00a0\u00a0and Randy Christmann say some of the proposed wind power projects couldn\u2019t find anyone to buy the power, so they weren\u2019t built.<\/p>\n<p>Otter Tail Power Company has filed for an \u201cadvanced determination of prudence\u201d for the Merricourt Wind Farm \u2013 to purchase the power.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Bismarck\u00a0 (PPR)\u00a0 The delayed \u00a0wind farm project near Ashley, may soon be built.
