He wrote 65 TV scripts, and sold over 30 stories to the motion picture industry, including &#8220;Hondo&#8221;, starring John Wayne.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/LouisLAmourFranklin.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-99064 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/LouisLAmourFranklin-300x202.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"202\" srcset=\"https:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/LouisLAmourFranklin-300x202.png 300w, https:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/LouisLAmourFranklin-260x175.png 260w, https:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/LouisLAmourFranklin.png 445w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>L&#8217;Amour was born in Jamestown, North Dakota, on March 22, 1908. &nbsp;He attended grade school at Historic Franklin School. &nbsp;At 15, he joined a circus and later worked in mining and lumber camps. He was a prizefighter and traveled throughout the world. During World War II, he was an officer in the Army Tank Corps. He was a self-educated man, whose hobbies included archaeology and the study of wildlife.<\/p>\n<p>L&#8217;Amour&#8217;s books have been translated into ten languages. He produced the movie &#8220;Catlow,&#8221; along with writing for the film screen.
