(AP) \u2014 North Dakota has its first <strong><span style=\"color: red;\">West<\/span>\u00a0<span style=\"color: red;\">Nile<\/span> virus-related<\/strong> <strong>death<\/strong> of the year.<\/p>\n<p>The Health Department says the victim was a central North Dakota woman older than 60. She had underlying medical conditions and died while hospitalized. Officials didn&#8217;t release her name.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: red;\">West<\/span>\u00a0<span style=\"color: red;\">Nile<\/span> virus is transmitted by mosquitoes. Symptoms include fever, headache, body aches and rash. Many people infected with the virus experience mild or no symptoms.<\/p>\n<p>There have been 29 confirmed human <span style=\"color: red;\">West<\/span>\u00a0<span style=\"color: red;\">Nile<\/span> virus cases in the state this year.
