A cleaning bucket can be prepared which would include a 5-gallon bucket, one large sponge, one roll of paper towels, 2 gallons of liquid cleaner (Mr. Clean, Pine-sol, Lysol), one powder cleanser (Comet, Ajax), one pair of kitchen latex gloves, one broom and one mop.<\/p>\n<p>Any of the items can be delivered to the Jamestown OGT warehouse at 103 4th Ave. SE from 9 a.m. to noon Monday and Saturday. (AP) \u2014 Grand Forks police are warning people about a potentially dangerous substance after responding to four drug overdoses in the last week.<\/p>\n<p>Police say the overdoses involved a form of a white powder users thought was heroin, but likely laced with fentanyl, a powerful synthetic opioid.<\/p>\n<p>Fentanyl is considered to be 50 times more potent than street heroin and death can occur through skin contact or inhalation.<\/p>\n<p>None of the overdoses was fatal, but required life saving measures and medical attention. Police believe there have been additional overdoses that have not been reported.<\/p>\n<p>North Dakota has a law that protects people from prosecution if they seek medical assistance for someone who is overdosing on drugs.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) \u2014 The North Dakota Public Service Commission has rescheduled a public hearing in Ashley regarding the Merricourt Wind Power Project in Dickey and McIntosh Counties.<\/p>\n<p>The hearing on a proposal to amend the project&#8217;s permit initially was scheduled for June 28 but had to be postponed.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s now been rescheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 13. It&#8217;s to begin at 10:30 a.m. Central time in Ashley City Hall.<\/p>\n<p>EDF Renewable Development Inc. wants to revise its site plan for the proposed 75-turbine, 150-megawatt wind farm, following coordination with the U.S Fish and Wildlife Service to reduce the risk for whooping cranes and piping plovers.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<p>BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) \u2014 The North Dakota Supreme Court has ruled that the McKenzie County Commission overstepped its authority when it disciplined a lieutenant in its sheriff&#8217;s department.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0 Supreme Court ruled that the commission can&#8217;t restrict or remove a sheriff&#8217;s authority.<\/p>\n<p>The district court previously denied McKenzie County Sheriff Gary Schwartzenberger&#8217;s request to prohibit the commission from placing Lt. Michael Schmitz on unpaid administrative leave.<\/p>\n<p>Schmitz was placed on leave following an investigation into bullying allegations. An interim sheriff fired him for an unrelated disciplinary reason.<\/p>\n<p>The commission also had petitioned to remove Schwartzenberger from office. But Schwartzenberger was reinstated as sheriff Aug. 4 after Gov. Doug Burgum dismissed a months-long proceeding.<\/p>\n<p>Schwartzenberger currently faces charges for unauthorized use of county credit cards.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) \u2014 Registered nurses at CHI St. Alexius Health in Bismarck have voted not to unionize.<\/p>\n<p>Nurses voted this week on being represented by the Minnesota Nurses Association, and decided against it in a close vote. (AP) \u2014 North Dakota wildlife officials are reducing the number of bighorn sheep hunting licenses available this year as they continue to see the impacts of disease on the western herd.<\/p>\n<p>The Game and Fish Department is making five of the once-in-a-lifetime licenses available, three fewer than last year. The decision came after the agency&#8217;s annual summer survey found 83 rams in the western Badlands, 21 fewer than in 2016.<\/p>\n<p>Big Game Management Biologist Brett Wiedmann says the 20 percent decline in rams is tied to an outbreak of bacterial pneumonia that surfaced in 2014 and killed dozens of sheep.<\/p>\n<p>Bighorn hunting is big in North Dakota. More than 13,200 hunters have applied for a license this year.<\/p>\n<p>The bighorn season opens Nov. 3 and closes Dec. 31.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>SWAN LICENSES&#8230;<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>BISMARCK, N.D.
