(AP) \u2014 Philadelphia quarterback Carson Wentz couldn&#8217;t play in the Super Bowl, but he still gets a ring \u2014 and now his girlfriend gets one, too.<\/p>\n<p>The 25-year-old Wentz said in <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/cj_wentz\/status\/960932838450388992\">a tweet Tuesday<\/a> , accompanied by a photo spread of Kentucky native Maddie Oberg accepting his marriage proposal, &#8220;She said YES! And now Maddie and I both got us a ring &#8230; can&#8217;t wait to marry my best friend! God is doing some amazing things and I can&#8217;t thank him enough!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>They got engaged at CastlePost, also known as Kentucky Castle. The boutique hotel said in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/thekentuckycastle\/posts\/10155888713353819:0\">a Facebook post<\/a> it was proud to be &#8220;a part of their story.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Wentz was the Eagles starting quarterback until he suffered a season-ending knee injury in December.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>VERSAILLES, Ky.
