{"id":143036,"date":"2018-05-02T08:00:17","date_gmt":"2018-05-02T13:00:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=143036"},"modified":"2018-05-14T09:15:48","modified_gmt":"2018-05-14T14:15:48","slug":"citywide-cleanup-valley-city-may-7-11","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=143036","title":{"rendered":"Citywide Cleanup, Valley City, May 7- 11"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-69473\" src=\"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/GarbageCleanUpWeek1-300x202.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"202\" srcset=\"https:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/GarbageCleanUpWeek1-300x202.jpg 300w, https:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/GarbageCleanUpWeek1-259x175.jpg 259w, https:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/GarbageCleanUpWeek1.jpg 445w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>Valley City\u00a0 (CSi)\u00a0 Valley City has announced that Citywide Cleanup Week\u00a0 is set for May 7-11.<\/p>\n<p>The free pickup and disposal is for <strong>residential waste only.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Valley City residents are encouraged to clean up, clean off, and clean out their properties.\u00a0 <u>On your regular garbage pickup day,<\/u> put all your garbage, including the extra, out in your regular pick up spot by 7:00 AM, and Valley City Public Works will pick it up.\u00a0 There is no limit on the number of bags, cans, boxes, etc., and no extra charge.<\/p>\n<p>We will pick up general household garbage, couches, chairs, furniture, branches and wood <strong>DO NOT BAG OR BOX BRANCHES.\u00a0<\/strong> Paints and liquids can be disposed of in a dry, hardened form.\u00a0 Cat litter, floor dry or sawdust can be used to absorb the liquid.\u00a0 Empty cans can be left out with garbage. LEFTOVER PAINT WILL BE ACCEPTED AT THE LANDFILL DURING CLEAN UP WEEK <strong><u>BUT MUST BE DRIED.<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Residents may take their appliances to Truck and Auto Salvage or Valley Recycling Center. There may be a fee for refrigeration or freezing units with Freon.<\/p>\n<p>The following items <strong><u>WILL NOT<\/u><\/strong> be picked up:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Leaves and grass need to be taken to the collection site at the landfill at no charge.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Tires must be taken to the transfer station. The disposal fee cannot be charged, cash only.<\/li>\n<li>Batteries may be taken to the salvage yards or Valley Recycling Center.<\/li>\n<li>Scrap metal may be taken to Valley Recycling Center.<\/li>\n<li>Grass, leaves, yard waste<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Help the garbage crews by putting the garbage into boxes, bags or cans not to exceed 32 gallons or 50 lbs.<\/p>\n<p>Note:\u00a0 Free disposal of grass, leaves, branches, trees, used motor oil and metal can be disposed of at the Transfer Station all year long.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Valley City\u00a0 (CSi)\u00a0 Valley City has announced that Citywide Cleanup Week\u00a0 is set for May 7-11.
