Jamestown (CSi)\u00a0\u00a0 Dakota Store and AAUW Used Bookstore invites the community to join them May 1-4\u00a0 to celebrate their first anniversary in the downtown location, 601 1st Ave South.\u00a0 There will be specials and samples every day as well as drawings for door prizes and grab bags.<\/p>\n
On Friday\u2019s Wayne Byers Show on CSi Cable 2, AAUW\u2019s Kelly Krein said, daily hours are 10am \u2013 5pm with Thursday hours extended until 7pm to give more people a chance to visit the store.\u00a0 Thousands of used books, all in good \u00a0condition and at bargain prices, at the bookstore.<\/p>\n
Book donations guidelines include NO reference or text books, or Readers Digest books.<\/p>\n
Fiction books of 2005 or newer are accepted.<\/p>\n
Books are arranged by category.<\/p>\n
The store is also open the second Saturday each month from 10-a.m., to 2-p.m.<\/p>\n
A large variety of food and gift items, all made in ND, are featured in the Dakota Store.\u00a0 Call 952-9684 if you have questions.<\/p>\n
Also on our show, Deb Lee said, the Dakota Store was previously exclusively at Frontier Village for 10 years, and during the Christmas season, \u00a0before moving to First\u00a0 Avenue South location a year ago.<\/p>\n
Dakota store buys items for re-sale from 85 North Dakota companies, and includes printed t-shirts.<\/p>\n
She added that again this summer the Dakota Store will have an additional location at Frontier Village from Memorial Day though Labor Day, 9-a.m. to 5-p.m., and Sunday\u2019s noon to 5-p.m.<\/p>\n
Both stores welcome volunteers to help out.<\/p>\n
Kelly Krein added that AAUW is also affiliated with the Frontier Village\u2019s school house, and volunteers are welcome to assist during the hours of operation.<\/p>\n
