(uj.edu) &#8212; <a id=\"rosterLink0\" class=\"rosterProfileLink Female WBA\" href=\"http:\/\/www.JimmieAthletics.com\/roster\/18\/11\/7047.php\">Tifani Schorzman<\/a> (SR\/Coeur d&#8217;Alene, ID)&#8217;s run-scoring double in the bottom of the fifth broke a 3-3 tie, and the 15th-ranked Jimmie softball team opened the North Star Athletic Association conference tournament with a 5-3 win over Mayville State (N.D.)<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown (40-6) took a 3-0 lead after <a id=\"rosterLink1\" class=\"rosterProfileLink Female WBA\" href=\"http:\/\/www.JimmieAthletics.com\/roster\/18\/11\/7194.php\">Morgan Geiszler<\/a> (FR\/Horace, ND)&#8217;s first-inning RBI double and second-inning RBI singles by <a id=\"rosterLink2\" class=\"rosterProfileLink Female WBA\" href=\"http:\/\/www.JimmieAthletics.com\/roster\/18\/11\/7193.php\">Sydney Prussia<\/a> (FR\/Detroit Lakes, MN) and <a id=\"rosterLink3\" class=\"rosterProfileLink Female WBA\" href=\"http:\/\/www.JimmieAthletics.com\/roster\/18\/11\/7027.php\">Emma Keller<\/a> (SR\/Poulsbo, WA).<\/p>\n<p>In the Mayville State 5th, Kiana Ishikawa led off with a walk and Danyelle Gutierrez was hit by a pitch. With one out, Shaye Kemball homered to make it 3-3.<\/p>\n<p><a id=\"rosterLink4\" class=\"rosterProfileLink Female WBA\" href=\"http:\/\/www.JimmieAthletics.com\/roster\/18\/11\/7197.php\">Kassi Ward<\/a> (FR\/Olympia, WA)&#8217;s sacrifice fly in the fifth gave the Jimmies an insurance run and extended their lead to 5-3.<\/p>\n<p><a id=\"rosterLink5\" class=\"rosterProfileLink Female WBA\" href=\"http:\/\/www.JimmieAthletics.com\/roster\/18\/11\/7028.php\">Brittany Rheault<\/a> (SR\/West Fargo, ND) went the first five innings for Jamestown to get the win, improving her record to 14-3. She gave up three runs on four hits, striking out one. <a id=\"rosterLink6\" class=\"rosterProfileLink Female WBA\" href=\"http:\/\/www.JimmieAthletics.com\/roster\/18\/11\/7201.php\">Kat Miska<\/a> (FR\/Pequot Lakes, MN) pitched the final two innings, striking out four,\u00a0for her third save. Shaye Kemball took the loss for Mayville State, falling to 5-15. Kemball allowed five runs on six hits over six innings, walked one, and struck out six.<\/p>\n<p><a id=\"rosterLink7\" class=\"rosterProfileLink Female WBA\" href=\"http:\/\/www.JimmieAthletics.com\/roster\/18\/11\/7038.php\">Mikayla Frost<\/a> (SO\/Melba, ID) and <a id=\"rosterLink8\" class=\"rosterProfileLink Female WBA\" href=\"http:\/\/www.JimmieAthletics.com\/roster\/18\/11\/7040.php\">Kaitlyn Sassaman<\/a> (SO\/Ronan, MT) also had hits for the Jimmies. Jade Ledochowski was 2-for-3 to lead the Comets (12-28).<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown plays No. 5 Dakota State\u00a0 at 11:30 a.m. Saturday.
