Outages began shortly after midnight Thursday, in western North Dakota, and continued through northern Minnesota as the storm moved north and east. \u201cCrews are working to assess and repair damage, though we expect that it could be several hours before we’re able to restore power in most areas,\u201d said Area Manager Jeremy Rham.<\/p>\n
Areas affected include towns in and around Devils Lake, Garrison, and Rugby, North Dakota, and Mahnomen, Minnesota. \u201cWe appreciate our customers\u2019 patience as we work to safely restore power,\u201d said Rham. \u201cAnd, importantly, please remember to stay away from downed or low-hanging power lines.\u201d<\/p>\n
