Jamestown\u00a0 (CSi)\u00a0Two men were arrested earlier this week in separate pursuits.<\/p>\n

On Monday evening, 37 year old Jason Anthony Wilde, wanted on warrants led authorities on a pursuit, through gravel roads near Woodworth, ending in a foot pursuit and capture, after\u00a0 his vehicle left the roadway, and into a pasture.<\/p>\n

Stutsman County sheriff, Chad Kaiser’s report says Wilde is being held on Stutsman County, Cass County, and Foster County warrant, and faces additional charges\u00a0\u00a0of driving under suspension, fleeing or attempting to elude and reckless endangerment in connection with\u00a0the pursuit.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

KVLY\u00a0 reports, on Tuesday around 1-p.m., Jamestown Police apprehended 24 year-old Shawn Matthew Opsahl of Jamestown, suspected\u00a0of domestic assault along with\u00a0failing to halt for a peace officer.<\/div>\n
Police responded to a call of domestic assault in Northeast Jamestown, and Opsahl was apprehended after fleeing on foot, located in the backyard of a residence.<\/div>\n

He was jailed\u00a0at the\u00a0Stutsman County Correctional Center\u00a0pending charges.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Jamestown Police was assisted in the pursuit and a\u00a0perimeter set up, by<\/div>\n
the Stutsman County Sheriff\u2019s Office, along with the \u00a0Stutsman County Drug Task Force.<\/div>\n

Jamestown\u00a0 (JRMC)\u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong>\u2014 The chief executive officer at Jamestown Regional Medical Center says that it\u2019s with very mixed feelings that he leaves JRMC for a new opportunity.<\/p>\n

President & CEO K.C. DeBoer joined JRMC in 2014.<\/p>\n

Since then, both Modern Healthcare and Becker\u2019s Healthcare Review have named JRMC a Best Place to Work in healthcare. Under DeBoer\u2019s leadership, JRMC also expanded the specialties it offers. JRMC added new specialists in podiatry, urology, gynecology and obstetrics, as well as ear, nose and throat in 2015-2017. (AP) \u2014 North Dakota authorities say a man’s truck is destroyed after roughly $2,800 worth of fireworks ignited in his pickup bed as he drove on the highway near Wyndmere.The Richland County Sheriff’s Office says 67-year-old Jorgen Nokleberg, of Leonard, was driving Wednesday on Highway 18 when the load of fireworks started going off. They sparked several small grass fires along the highway, but Nokleberg received only minor injuries.The sheriff’s office says the fire is being investigated.<\/article>\n

Christine, ND\u00a0 (NDHP)\u00a0 The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports\u00a0 a semi roll over Wednesday morning on I-29 at Exit 44 at Christine.<\/p>\n

The Freightliner, driven by Maninder Singh, was southbound on I-29 when the driver unintentionally took the exit ramp at Christine (exit 44).<\/p>\n

The Freightliner continued up the exit ramp and crossed Richland County Road 2.\u00a0 While crossing Richland County Road 2, the driver steered hard to the left, causing the Freightliner to tip over onto it’s right side on the I-29 southbound entrance ramp.<\/p>\n

The Freightliner came to rest on it’s right side facing east, partially blocking the southbound entrance ramp to I-29.\u00a0 Maninder Singh was cited for care required.\u00a0 The Freightliner was towing a trailer loaded with peat moss.\u00a0 The crash is still under investigation.<\/p>\n

WILLISTON, N.D. (AP) \u2014 Authorities say a man who was out on bond from a drug charge was arrested in northwestern North Dakota after police seized nearly 122 grams of methamphetamine during a traffic stop.<\/p>\n

Officials with the Northwest Narcotics Task Force say John Mincey, of Minot, was stopped Saturday in Williams County. A search discovered the meth as well as a loaded handgun and $7,000 in cash.<\/p>\n

Mincey is facing four charges, including possession with intent to distribute and felon in possession of a firearm.<\/p>\n

Authorities say Mincey is charged in Ward County with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and had an active warrant for his arrest in relation to that case.<\/p>\n

Court documents do not list an attorney for Mincey.<\/p>\n

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) \u2014 North Dakota officials say a winning lottery ticket in the state’s Lucky for Life game was sold at a Hettinger store.<\/p>\n

State lottery director Randy Miller says the ticket was drawn Monday night. The player with the winning ticket has the option of receiving $25,000 for 20 years or a lump sum cash payment of $350,000.<\/p>\n

Miller says it is the fourth Lucky for Life winner since the game was launched in 2016. He says winners have 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim the prize.<\/p>\n

The ticket was sold at Central Dakota Cooperative in Hettinger, which is located in southwestern North Dakota, 4 miles from the South Dakota border.<\/p>\n

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) \u2014 North Dakota Oil and Gas Division officials say a tank that overflowed caused a spill of more than 19,000 gallons of brine and more than 3,000 gallons of oil in Renville County.<\/p>\n

Division officials say Berenergy Corp. reported Monday that the spill occurred Saturday about 2 miles east of Glenburn. The company says the spill was contained within the diking that was done on site and has been recovered.<\/p>\n

Officials say a state inspector will be on site this week.<\/p>\n

Brine is a waste byproduct of oil development.<\/p>\n

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) \u2014 A North Dakota man convicted of drugging a teenager and sexually assaulting her for several months has been sentenced to 20 years in prison.<\/p>\n

Prosecutors say 38-year-old George Robert Lyons gave sleeping pills to a teenage girl once a week under the guise of needing to clean her ears from July 2009 and January 2010. The girl told Grand Forks District Judge John Thelen during a sentencing hearing Monday that all her relationships have been damaged and she is afraid Lyons will retaliate when he’s released from prison.<\/p>\n

WDAY-TV reports that Lyons’ attorney is expected to appeal his conviction. Lyons planned on speaking during Monday’s hearing but became emotional and said he was “at a loss for words.”<\/p>\n

WILLISTON, N.D. (AP) \u2014 North Dakota military veterans toured a new veterans’ affairs clinic in a northwest city.<\/p>\n

The Williston VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic opened this week. The facility is twice the size of the old one at 7,500 square feet (697 square meters), the Williston Herald reported.<\/a><\/p>\n

“It’s so cool,” said Jill Wiedrich, a nurse at the clinic. “We have so much more space here.”<\/p>\n

Wiedrich took groups of 10 veterans at a time to see the new space Monday. The tours featured a new blood drawing room, tele-retinal and tele-health rooms, new patient exam rooms and a room dedicated to women’s health.<\/p>\n

“It’s a very good space,” said Corey Moen, adjutant for Williston’s Disabled American Veterans chapter. “There’s a lot more services they can provide right there. It’s going to cut down on the travel to Fargo. … This was definitely needed.”<\/p>\n

The clinic will also have a full-time medical doctor on staff. Dr. David Keene said he couldn’t pass up the opportunity to help veterans, especially given that his veteran father was the driving force in his decision to pursue medicine.<\/p>\n

The Bosox’s sweep puts them a season-high 30 games over .500 and drops the fading Nats one game under .500.Eduardo Rodriguez and Jackie Bradley Jr. led the Red Sox past the Nationals, 3-0. Rodriguez struck out six over six innings before three relievers finished up a combined six-hitter. Bradley delivered two RBIs with a sacrifice fly and a double to help Boston keep its one-game lead over the Yankees in the AL East.The Nationals kept the Red Sox scoreless before losing their fifth in a row. Washington has dropped 17 of its last 22 to fall under .500 this late in a season for the first time since 2015.The Yankees kept pace with the Red Sox as Giancarlo Stanton crushed a three-run homer and CC Sabathia tossed five-hit ball over six innings of a 6-2 win against the Braves. Aaron Judge homered for the third time in four games, giving him 24 for the season. And Yankees catcher Kyle Higashioka became the ninth player since 1920 whose first three hits were home runs.Elsewhere around the majors:\u2014 The Phillies are within 1 \u00bd games of the NL East-leading Braves after Aaron Nola and Nick Williams led Philadelphia to its fourth consecutive victory, 4-1 over the Orioles. \u2014 Los Angeles is within a half-game of the NL West lead after the first-place Diamondbacks absorbed an 8-4 loss to the Cardinals. Yadier (YAH’-dee-ehr) Molina capped the Redbirds’ five-run seventh with a three-run homer that put St. Louis ahead 6-2. Yairo (JY’-roh) Munoz also homered and Tommy Pham had three RBIs, including the tiebreaking single in the seventh.<\/p>\n

\u2014 The Mariners’ eight-game winning streak is over after Kole Calhoun belted a two-run homer and Luis Valbuena collected two RBIs in the Angels’ 7-4 win at Seattle. Calhoun had three hits and three RBIs in helping Garrett Richards get the victory in his return from the disabled list. Calhoun is batting .306 with four homers and eight RBIs since returning from the DL on June 18.<\/p>\n

\u2014 The Astros lead the AL West by 1 1\/2 games over the Mariners after beating the Rangers, 5-4 on a sacrifice fly by Evan Gattis in the 10th inning. Yuli Gurriel (YOO’-lee gur-ee-EHL’) homered, doubled and scored twice as Houston overcame an early four-run deficit. Jose Altuve delivered a one-out single in the 10th for his major league-leading 115th hit before scoring the winning run.<\/p>\n

\u2014 Cleveland’s 3-2 win at Kansas City gives the Indians an 11 \u00bd-game lead in the AL Central. Trevor Bauer helped the Indians complete a three-game sweep by holding the Royals to a pair of runs and seven hits over 7 2\/3s. Michael Brantley hit an RBI double in the first and scored on Edwin Encarnacion’s (ehn-kahr-nah-see-OHNZ’) sac-fly later in the inning.<\/p>\n

\u2014 The A’s earned a 4-2 win over the Padres as Stephen Piscotty doubled three times and had three RBIs. Khris Davis singled home the other run and Lou Trivino retired two batters to improve to 7-1. Oakland has won 14 of 17 to move a season-high nine games over .500.<\/p>\n

\u2014 The Rockies completed a three-game sweep as Chris Iannetta (eye-ah-NEH’-tuh) homered in the seventh and Tyler Anderson pitched eight innings of a 1-0 shutout of the Giants. Anderson (6-3) scattered two hits and tied a season high with nine strikeouts in Colorado’s sixth victory in seven games. It was the first 1-0 game at Coors Field in eight years.<\/p>\n

\u2014 Jose Urena and three relievers combined on a four-hitter and the Marlins shook off the hangover from a 16-inning loss to beat the Rays, 3-0. J.T. Riddle singled, tripled and homered to support Urena, who scattered three this and struck out five over six innings. Riddle broke a scoreless tie with an RBI triple in the sixth before scoring on JB Shuck’s fielder’s choice later in the inning.<\/p>\n

\u2014 Starting pitcher Sal Romano dropped down a suicide squeeze during a six-run fourth inning that propelled the Reds to a 7-4 win against the White Sox. Jesse Winker and Jose Peraza each had a two-run single during the big inning to help Cincinnati withstand homers by Daniel Palka and Yoan Moncada. The Reds have come from behind in eight of their last 11 wins and are 13-4 in their last 17 games.<\/p>\n

\u2014 Todd Frazier banged out a two-run homer to ignite the Mets’ five-run fifth in a 6-3 victory at Toronto. Seth Lugo worked three innings of one-run relief to get the victory in New York’s third win in 14 games. The Mets’ bullpen came through with five strong innings after being torched for six runs over 1 2\/3 innings of Tuesday’s 8-6 loss to the Blue Jays.<\/p>\n

UNDATED (AP) \u2014 Yankees second baseman Gleyber (GLAY’-bur) Torres has landed on the 10-day disabled list because of a strained right hip. Torres was removed from Wednesday’s game after striking out in his second at-bat in the fourth inning.<\/p>\n

\u2014 Rangers reliever Tony Barnette has gone on the 10-day disabled list with a right shoulder strain a day after leaving a game in the middle of a batter. Barnette had an MRI on Wednesday, though the team didn’t immediately reveal or know the results of the exam.<\/p>\n

UNDATED (AP) \u2014 The Cavaliers signed guard Collin Sexton to a rookie contract.<\/p>\n

The Cavs selected Sexton with the No. 8 overall pick in last month’s NBA draft. He averaged 19.2 points as a freshman at Alabama and played his best in big games while leading the Crimson Tide to its first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2012.<\/p>\n

Also in the NBA:<\/p>\n

\u2014 A person with knowledge of the negotiations tells The Associated Press that Amir Johnson has accepted a one-year deal with the 76ers. The 13-year NBA veteran was primarily a reserve for the 76ers last season, averaging 4.6 points and 4.5 rebounds per game.<\/p>\n

UNDATED (AP) \u2014 The Costa Rica soccer federation says national team coach Oscar Ramirez is out after the team’s disappointing performance at the World Cup.<\/p>\n

Costa Rica compiled a record of 9 wins, 6 ties and 4 defeats in 16 qualifying and three World Cup matches under Ramirez.<\/p>\n

\u2014 Brazil midfielder Paulinho has practiced separately from the group but is expected to be available for Friday’s quarterfinal against Belgium. The federation says Paulinho needed an extra recovery day following Brazil’s round-of-16 win over Mexico on Monday. All other players participated in the training session in Sochi, including Marcelo, who didn’t play against Mexico because of a back spasm. Filipe Luis substituted Marcelo in the team’s 2-0 win.<\/p>\n

COLLEGE ATHLETICS-OHIO STATE-TEAM DOCTOR<\/p>\n

FREMONT, Ohio (AP) \u2014 U.S. Rep. Jim Jordan says he never knew of sexual abuse by a now-dead doctor who examined wrestlers Jordan helped coach decades ago at Ohio State University.<\/p>\n

Jordan repeatedly denied claims by ex-wrestlers Mike DiSabato and Dunyasha Yetts, who say the powerful Republican congressman from Ohio knew back then that Richard Strauss was groping male athletes.<\/p>\n

Jordan acknowledged that Strauss was among faculty members and other employees who used the same open shower area as athletes in the building where they practiced, but he said he and other coaches with whom he has spoken weren’t aware of any abuse by Strauss.<\/p>\n

Male Ohio State athletes from 14 sports have alleged sexual misconduct by Strauss, whose death in 2005 was ruled a suicide.<\/p>\n

LONDON (AP) \u2014 A Russian lawmaker has described a second case of poisoning with the nerve agent Novichok in southern England as part of British efforts to tarnish the Russia-hosted World Cup and fuel tensions ahead of a planned U.S.-Russian summit. Sergei Zheleznyak, a member of the parliament’s foreign affairs committee, said the poisoning of a couple in Amesbury on Saturday is “a continuation of an anti-Russian PR hysteria that British authorities are trying to create.”<\/p>\n

WASHINGTON (AP) \u2014 A New York investment firm insists it only managed the vast assets of Russian oligarch Viktor Vekselberg. But an Associated Press review has found that Vekselberg and his cousin, Andrew Intrater, sometimes collaborated in a deeply entwined business relationship. Intrater heads the New York investment management firm Columbus Nova. Vekselberg was sanctioned for backing a $1.6 million lobbying campaign to aid Russian interests in Washington. Now, the investment firm is wrestling with the fallout.<\/p>\n

UKHIYA, Bangladesh (AP) \u2014 Scores of babies have been left abandoned in camps that are home to some 900,000 Rohingya refugees. Many of the mothers fled from Myanmar to Bangladesh to escape last year’s sweeping campaign of rape and other brutalities carried out by Myanmar’s security forces, and the children have been another reminder of the violence. A sexual violence specialist with Doctors Without Borders says some women tried to hide their bellies in shame. Others ended their pregnancies.<\/p>\n
