Library Director Joe Rector says a new concrete floor will be installed.<\/p>\n

The original plan to paint all ceiling panels was revised to the discolored panels only.<\/p>\n

The work to replace interior plaster walls with water resistant drywall is completed<\/p>\n

The budget will be\u00a0 revised that the Centennial Initiative presented to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.<\/p>\n

The renovation work is expected to be completed sometime in August.<\/p>\n

Jamestown (CSi)\u00a0 Items continue to be needed for those struggling in the community.<\/p>\n

A Jamestown Salvation Army volunteer, says items can be dropped off at the Jamestown Salvation Army, or at Community Action Region VI in Jamestown.<\/p>\n

The need for the items is year \u2018round, and individuals, businesses, churches and schools, when in session, are asked to collect items for distribution, to be donated.<\/p>\n

Those items include\u2026school supplies, and backpacks, juice, milk, cereal, over the counter medications, along with clean grocery bags.<\/p>\n

Personal care items include shampoo, soap deodorant, along with razors, and other such items.<\/p>\n

Laundry soap and cleaning supplies may also be donated.<\/p>\n

If it works better, gift cards can be donated.<\/p>\n

Cash donations will be used to help individuals and families purchase groceries, pay rent, and buy gasoline.<\/p>\n

Both organization have a food pantry, with items always in need to stock the shelves.<\/p>\n

Jamestown (CSi)\u00a0 Author Nicole Borg invites the community for her poetry reading, on Tuesday July 24th<\/sup>, at the Vault in Valley City.<\/p>\n

She recently published a new book of poetry.<\/p>\n

Jamestown NDDOT)\u00a0 A Public Open House will be held from 4:00pm to 7:00pm on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at Jamestown City Hall (102 3rd Avenue SE, Jamestown, ND 58401).<\/p>\n

The purpose of the Public Open House is to provide an update on ND Moves, a statewide active and public transportation plan for North Dakota. The plan will review and identify existing and emerging needs and recommend strategies for the future of biking, walking, rolling, and transit across the state. The Open House will provide opportunity for the public receive updates on plan progress and introduce for review and comment a proposed statewide bicycle network. Representatives from the North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) and its consultant team will be on-hand to answer questions and discuss concerns.<\/p>\n
