The burden of travel can add expense, stress and anxiety to the life of a person who should focus on healing. That\u2019s why Jamestown Regional Medical Center opened the JRMC Carrington Clinic in summer 2017.<\/p>\n
In that year, the JRMC Carrington Clinic served about 300 people, saving them 24,000 miles of travel.<\/p>\n
In celebration of its one-year anniversary, the JRMC Carrington Clinic is hosting a Cookout from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs a rural hospital, we know outcomes improve when people have access state-of-the-art care close to home,\u201d said K.C. DeBoer, JRMC President & CEO. \u201cOur vision is to be the greatest rural hospital in the country. Offering specialty services in this area is one way to do that.\u201d<\/p>\n
Those specialists include Marissa M. Leese, AuD., audiologist; Dr. Michael T. Dean and Dr. Timothy Volk, orthopedic surgeons; Dr. Rachael Renschler, podiatrist; and Dr. Robert Bates, urologist. They specialize in helping people hear, healing achy joints, reducing foot pain and treating conditions of the bladder, kidney and prostate.<\/p>\n
The JRMC Carrington Clinic Cookout is located at 923 1st St S., adjacent to the Dr. Jay Bauer dental clinic. It is also open to the public. Attendees may make a freewill offering if they choose. Proceeds benefit the Carrington Daily Bread program.<\/p>\n
