Widely<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/forecast.weather.gov\/glossary.php?word=scattered\">scattered<\/a> showers are possible during the week, but little<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/forecast.weather.gov\/glossary.php?word=rainfall\">rainfall<\/a> expected.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Valley City\u00a0 (Chamber)\u00a0 The Valley City Area Chamber of Commerce informs residents that it received a call\u00a0 from a person who identified himself as <em>Mike under the number (306)756-8426<\/em> who asked if he could send us free magnets with non-emergency contact numbers on them to offer our members.<\/p>\n<p>We declined and asked to be taken off of their calling list but we have heard from a few of our members that he tried contacting them claiming that he was working on advertisement for Chamber members.<\/p>\n<p>If you are contacted, the Chamber encourages you to please decline any offers from him as well, as\u00a0he is by NO means\u00a0affiliated with the Chamber of Commerce. (AP) \u2013 Trial is set next summer for a wrongful death lawsuit filed by the parents of a State College of Science student found dead while working as an undercover drug informant.<\/p>\n<p>Tammy and John Sadek in June 2016 sued the Richland County sheriff\u2019s department, a deputy and the county over the 2014 death of their 20-year-old son Andrew.<\/p>\n<p>He was found dead in a river with a bullet in his head and a backpack of rocks tied to his body. His parents are seeking unspecified money damages.<\/p>\n<p>Trial had been scheduled for April, but plaintiffs\u2019 attorney Tim O\u2019Keeffe said it was delayed while he pursued more information. A five-day trial is now set for next July in Jamestown.<\/p>\n<p>Minnesota\u2019s Bureau of Criminal Apprehension says the investigation into Andrew Sadek\u2019s death is ongoing.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) \u2014 A Lincoln woman faces drug and other charges after investigators say she falsely accused a former Burleigh County deputy of terrorizing.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/bismarcktribune.com\/news\/local\/crime-and-courts\/woman-charged-with-falsely-accusing-former-deputy-of-terrorizing\/article_e049be0a-ef38-52e3-8dce-7d0c5b826b0d.html\">The Bismarck Tribune reports<\/a> Natasha Reiger is charged with making a false report to law enforcement after she reported on Monday that Kerry Komrosky held a gun to her head, threatened her life and physically assaulted her.<\/p>\n<p>Court records don&#8217;t list an attorney for Reiger.<\/p>\n<p>Investigators say a recording of the incident verified Komrosky&#8217;s version of events.<\/p>\n<p>The report prompted the SWAT team to respond to the Lincoln residence where Komrosky eventually stuck his hands outside of the home and asked officers not to shoot.<\/p>\n<p>In a separate case, Komrosky is accused of stealing evidence from drug cases while working as a deputy. He has pleaded not guilty.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>RUGBY, N.D. (AP) \u2014 A Towner man accused of having sex with a female inmate at the jail in Rugby while working there as a cook has pleaded guilty to misdemeanor adultery.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities say 51-year-old Marcelo Lara had consensual sex with the 33-year-old female inmate in the walk-in cooler at the Heart of America Correctional Center. The woman had been allowed to help prepare jail meals while she was incarcerated, and Lara was her supervisor.<\/p>\n<p>Lara initially was charged with felony sexual abuse of a ward, which carries a maximum punishment of five years in prison. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.minotdailynews.com\/news\/local-news\/2018\/08\/marcelo-lara-sentenced-for-adultery\/\">The Minot Daily News reports<\/a> he reached a deal with prosecutors and pleaded guilty to the misdemeanor that carries a maximum sentence of one year.<\/p>\n<p>Lara&#8217;s wife signed a complaint for adultery earlier this summer.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In World and national news&#8230;<\/p>\n<article id=\"story_content\" class=\"ng-binding\">PHOENIX (AP) \u2014 Military members have carried the flag-draped casket of Sen.
