Any children or employees who were excluded from school or other activities may return.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>It went on to say,\u201cMeasles is one of the most contagious diseases in the world,\u201d said Molly Howell, immunization program manager for the NDDoH. \u201cWe acted quickly and appropriately based on the testing and information that we had on hand at the time to prevent the spread of measles in the community. We appreciate the cooperation of this individual, schools and community members in response to this situation.\u201d<\/p>\n<div id=\"jobsHQ-hotjobs-single-0\" class=\"jobsHQ-hotjobs-single\">It added.\u00a0 Laboratory tests can sometimes produce false positives, though that\u2019s rare, the state health department said.<\/div>\n<p>Previously&#8230;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) \u2014 North Dakota\u2019s Health Department has documented the state\u2019s first case of measles in seven years.<\/p>\n<p>Officials say the case was reported Tuesday, in a Burleigh County resident who the department says likely contracted the disease out of state.<\/p>\n<p>The person has recovered and is no longer contagious but went to numerous spots in the Bismarck area while contagious. The Health Department is notifying people who were exposed.<\/p>\n<p>The department says measles is a serious disease that can lead to hospitalization and even death. Symptoms include a high fever, cough, runny nose and watery eyes, followed by a rash.
