Doug Burgum has signed a proclamation establishing September 22 as Hunting and Fishing Day in North Dakota.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gd_p\" align=\"left\">Gov. Burgum\u2019s proclamation highlights the rich and storied tradition of hunting and angling in North Dakota, and that hunters and anglers, through their license fees, have helped fund state efforts to provide for healthy and sustainable natural resources.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gd_p\" align=\"left\">The proclamation highlights a\u00a0\u201cuser pays \u2013 public benefits\u201d\u00a0approach \u2013 widely recognized as the most successful model of fish and wildlife management in the world \u2013 which shows that last year North Dakota\u2019s 100,000 resident hunters and 150,000 resident anglers generated more than $30 million to support the conservation efforts of the Game and Fish Department.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Bismarck (North Dakota Game and Fish) Gov.
