News) &#8212; The Frontier Village in Jamestown is hosting the Annual &#8220;Pioneer Days,&#8221; August 4 &amp; 5, 2012.<\/p>\n<p>On Monday\u2019s (Jul 30, 2012) Wayne Byers Show on CSi Cable 2, Frontier Village Manager Tina Busche, said, on August 4<sup>th<\/sup>, the activities will include the Pet Parade.<\/p>\n<p>She said this is the first Pet Parade to be held at the village. (AP) &#8211; The North Dakota Farmers Union is<\/p>\n<p>contributing $5,000 to a reward fund set up for information to<\/p>\n<p>leading to a conviction in the shooting deaths of nine Oliver<\/p>\n<p>County cattle on the Fourth of July.<\/p>\n<p>That increases the reward fund to $18,000. The North Dakota<\/p>\n<p>Stockmen&#8217;s Association says it&#8217;s the largest such reward in state<\/p>\n<p>history.<\/p>\n<p>State Farmers Union President Woody Barth says the organization<\/p>\n<p>is concerned that someone would randomly shoot and kill cattle.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) &#8211; A man who&#8217;s accused of killing his mother<br \/>\nand stealing her car says he&#8217;s not guilty.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Dean Grenstiner made his pleas Monday during a brief appearance<br \/>\nin state district court in Bismarck.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Judge Donald Jorgensen says Grenstiner&#8217;s next court date is Aug.<br \/>\n27.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Grenstiner&#8217;s arraignment was delayed so he could undergo an<br \/>\nindependent psychiatric examination.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>However, his plea Monday didn&#8217;t make any reference to his mental health.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Grenstiner is being held without bail on charges that he beat<br \/>\nhis mother to death in her home last March.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities say Grenstiner was living with his mother, Ann Grenstiner, for several weeks before she was killed.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Grenstiner was also charged with stealing his mother&#8217;s car. He<br \/>\nwas arrested in Moorhead, Minn., the day after his mother&#8217;s body<br \/>\nwas discovered.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In sports&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) &#8211; Brothers Billy and Marty Cariveau<br \/>\ncaught nine catfish weighing just under 76\u00a0 1\/2 pounds to win the<br \/>\nannual Red River catfish tournament in the Grand Forks area.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Billy Cariveau is from Fargo and Marty Cariveau is from East<br \/>\nGrand Forks, Minn.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>They beat the runners-up by about half a pound this weekend to take home the top prize of $3,712.<\/p>\n<p>A total of 116 boats took part in the tournament.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The Cariveau brothers have competed in the tournament for 10<br \/>\nyears.
