{"id":156621,"date":"2018-10-28T18:09:58","date_gmt":"2018-10-28T23:09:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=156621"},"modified":"2018-10-29T06:51:52","modified_gmt":"2018-10-29T11:51:52","slug":"jimmie-men-rollover-oak-hill-christian-sunday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=156621","title":{"rendered":"Jimmie Men rollover Oak Hill Christian, Sunday"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Sunday&#8230;.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Jamestown 127 Oak Hills Christian College 82<\/p>\n<p>(uj.edu)\u00a0 <strong>The University of Jamestown men&#8217;s basketball team tied a team record by making 21 three-point field goals<\/strong> in a 127-82 win over Oak Hills Christian College Sunday afternoon at Harold Newman Arena.<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown last made 21 threes on January 27, 2017 against Waldorf (Iowa).<\/p>\n<p>Seven different Jimmies hit from downtown, led by <a id=\"rosterLink0\" class=\"rosterProfileLink \" href=\"http:\/\/www.jimmieathletics.com\/roster\/19\/1\/8130.php\">Terrell Alfred<\/a> (JR\/Orlando, FL) and <a id=\"rosterLink1\" class=\"rosterProfileLink \" href=\"http:\/\/www.jimmieathletics.com\/roster\/19\/1\/7643.php\">Kevin Oberweiser<\/a> (SR\/Drummond, MT), who both connected on five attempts.<\/p>\n<p>The Wolfpack held a brief 5-3 lead, but Oberweiser&#8217;s three-pointer put UJ ahead 6-5 and the Jimmies never looked back. Oak Hills got within three points at 18-15, but Jamestown reeled off the next nine points to push the lead to 12.<\/p>\n<p>UJ finished the game shooting 61.6 percent overall (45-of-73) and 58.3 percent (21-of-36) from beyond the arc. Jamestown outrebounded Oak Hills 48-25 and had a 61-16 edge in bench scoring.<\/p>\n<p><a id=\"rosterLink2\" class=\"rosterProfileLink \" href=\"http:\/\/www.jimmieathletics.com\/roster\/19\/1\/7639.php\">Jon Purintun<\/a> (SR\/Linton, ND) had a game-high 27 points and was one of five Jimmies in double figures. Oberweiser finished with 19, while Alfred had 17 off the bench. <a id=\"rosterLink3\" class=\"rosterProfileLink \" href=\"http:\/\/www.jimmieathletics.com\/roster\/19\/1\/7653.php\">Devan Praska<\/a> (FR\/Thompson, ND) had a career-high 15 points in only seven minutes, and <a id=\"rosterLink4\" class=\"rosterProfileLink \" href=\"http:\/\/www.jimmieathletics.com\/roster\/19\/1\/7642.php\">Isaiah Dobson<\/a> (JR\/Stillwater, MN) chipped in with 13. <a id=\"rosterLink5\" class=\"rosterProfileLink \" href=\"http:\/\/www.jimmieathletics.com\/roster\/19\/1\/7645.php\">Jace Allard<\/a> (JR\/Rawlins, WY) pulled down nine rebounds, and <a id=\"rosterLink6\" class=\"rosterProfileLink \" href=\"http:\/\/www.jimmieathletics.com\/roster\/19\/1\/8139.php\">Jack Frazier<\/a> (JR\/Salem, OR) and <a id=\"rosterLink7\" class=\"rosterProfileLink \" href=\"http:\/\/www.jimmieathletics.com\/roster\/19\/1\/7649.php\">Jack Talley<\/a> (SO\/Sioux Falls, SD) each had five assists.<\/p>\n<p>Derrick Wright led Oak Hills with 22 points.<\/p>\n<p>Next up for Jamestown (4-0) is an exhibition game at MSU-Moorhead on Friday.
