(AP) \u2014 The North Dakota Public Service Commission has ordered a businessman to stop receiving or purchasing grain because of bounced checks and unpaid contracts.<\/p>\n<p>The PSC has issued a cease and desist order against Hunter Hanson and his two businesses, Midwest Grain trading and NoDak Grain. <a href=\"http:\/\/sp.ap.org\/news\/Central\/_layouts\/xlviewer.aspx?id=\/news\/Central\/Desk%20Schedules\/Minnesota-Wisconsin-Dakotas%20Schedules\/MN%20WI%20ND%20SD%20sked%20Nov26-Dec2_2018.xlsx&amp;Source=http%3A%2F%2Fsp%2Eap%2Eorg%2Fnews%2FCentral%2FDesk%2520Schedules%2FForms%2FRecent%2Easpx%3FRootFolder%3D%252Fnews%252FCentral%252FDesk%2520Schedules%252FMinnesota%252DWisconsin%252DDakotas%2520Schedules%26FolderCTID%3D0x012000237B11D742501F439CD71C45A1F264C8%26View%3D%7B43730C4C%2D3384%2D438D%2DA2E6%2DA92C1F027F7B%7D&amp;DefaultItemOpen=1http:\/\/www.minotdailynews.com\/news\/local-news\/2018\/11\/psc-orders-grain-buyer-to-stop-doing-business\/\">Minot Daily News<\/a> says the order comes as the commission starts insolvency proceedings against the two businesses.<\/p>\n<p>The PSC says more than 50 people have contacted the commission about unpaid contracts or checks that couldn&#8217;t be cashed because of insufficient funds.<\/p>\n<p>Midwest Grain Trading is licensed as a roving grain buyer in North Dakota. NoDak Grain is licensed for storage facilities in Rohrville in Ramsey County and Tunbridge in Pierce County.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>BISMARCK, N.D.
