{"id":160019,"date":"2018-12-13T21:31:37","date_gmt":"2018-12-14T03:31:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=160019"},"modified":"2018-12-13T22:31:04","modified_gmt":"2018-12-14T04:31:04","slug":"uj-hockey-over-u-of-mary-thursday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=160019","title":{"rendered":"UJ Hockey over U of Mary, Thursday"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>MANDAN, N.D.\u00a0 (uj.edu)\u2014\u00a0<\/strong>The University of Jamestown hockey team only needed 65 seconds to be down 1-0 Thursday evening against the University of Mary.<\/p>\n<p>The Jimmies, number\u00a017th in the latest ACHA Division 1 rankings, scored three straight goals to hand the Maurauders their first loss at home and just third loss in 29 games this season.\u00a0The final, Jamestown 3 U of Mary 1.<\/p>\n<p>Alex Flicek scored for UMary, the ACHA&#8217;s Division 2\u00a0top-ranked team at 1:05 of the first<\/p>\n<p>The lead would hold until 4:50 of the second period, when <a id=\"rosterLink0\" class=\"rosterProfileLink  \" href=\"http:\/\/www.jimmieathletics.com\/roster\/19\/33\/7472.php\">Cayle Bell<\/a> (JR\/Fort St. John, British Columbia)&#8217;s shot attempt slid past goaltender Aaron Nelson. <a id=\"rosterLink1\" class=\"rosterProfileLink  \" href=\"http:\/\/www.jimmieathletics.com\/roster\/19\/33\/7459.php\">Michael Pruss<\/a> (JR\/Red Deer, Alberta) assisted on the goal.<\/p>\n<p><a id=\"rosterLink2\" class=\"rosterProfileLink  \" href=\"http:\/\/www.jimmieathletics.com\/roster\/19\/33\/7465.php\">Cole McKechney<\/a> (JR\/Calgary, Alberta) made it 2-1 Jamestown at 19:40 of the second, scoring on a\u00a0shot from the slot following a faceoff won by <a id=\"rosterLink3\" class=\"rosterProfileLink  \" href=\"http:\/\/www.jimmieathletics.com\/roster\/19\/33\/7458.php\">Jason Richter<\/a> (JR\/Cranbrook, British Columbia).<\/p>\n<p><a id=\"rosterLink4\" class=\"rosterProfileLink  \" href=\"http:\/\/www.jimmieathletics.com\/roster\/19\/33\/7816.php\">Josh Stephens<\/a> (FR\/Bayreuth, Germany) added an insurance goal at 7:25 of the third period, pushing the UJ lead to 3-1. <a id=\"rosterLink5\" class=\"rosterProfileLink  \" href=\"http:\/\/www.jimmieathletics.com\/roster\/19\/33\/7812.php\">Carter Johnson<\/a> (FR\/Meeteetse, Wyo.) and <a id=\"rosterLink6\" class=\"rosterProfileLink  \" href=\"http:\/\/www.jimmieathletics.com\/roster\/19\/33\/7475.php\">Ned Simpson<\/a> (JR\/Kitchener, Ontario) we&#8217;re credited with the assists.<\/p>\n<p><a id=\"rosterLink7\" class=\"rosterProfileLink  \" href=\"http:\/\/www.jimmieathletics.com\/roster\/19\/33\/8233.php\">David Anderson<\/a> (JR\/Santa Clarita, Calif.) had 17 saves in the win.
