(AP Apr 17, 2013) \u2013 A Brampton man faces hit-and-run charges connected to the death of a 28-year-old Oakes man.<\/p>\n<p>Twenty-two-year-old Dakota Sutton appeared in Southeast Judicial District court on Wednesday on charges of murder, manslaughter, drunken driving and driving with a suspended license. He\u2019s accused of striking Reavis Dandridge with his truck on Sargent County Road 2, about four miles south of North Dakota Highway 11, on April 7.<\/p>\n<p>Judge Brad Cruff set bail at $500,000. His next court appearance has not yet been set. A lawyer representing Sutton wasn\u2019t immediately available for comment.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Reported previously&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Oakes, ND (KCSi-T.V. Apr 7, 2013)\u00a0 &#8212; The NDHP, along with assistance from the ND BCI, Sargent County SO and Oakes PD is investigating a possible vehicle\/pedestrian hit and run crash that occurred on a rural, gravel county road in Sargent County around three a.m.,\u00a0 Sunday April 7, 2013.<\/p>\n<p>The report says \u00a0a truck driven by 22-year-old Dakota Sutton of Brampton, North Dakota struck\u00a0an unidentifed \u00a028-year-old man on Sargent County Road two, four miles south of North Dakota Highway 11 around 3 a.m. Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>The victim was taken by a private\u00a0vehicle to\u00a0 Oakes Community Hospital around 5 a.m., and was pronounced dead a short time later.<\/p>\n<p>Sutton is\u00a0 charged with\u00a0 leaving the scene of a fatal crash, and is in custody at the Barnes County jail.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 No other details\u00a0were available on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>The investigation, is continuing.<\/p>\n<p>The deceased party&#8217;s name will be released Monday afternoon.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>OAKES, N.D.
