Jamestown\u00a0 (CSi)\u00a0 Jamestown City Street Department crews will begin blading the snow emergency routes beginning approximately at 5:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 27, 2019.<\/p>\n

Crews will also be working on widening 5th<\/sup> Ave NE from 4th<\/sup> St NE to 13th<\/sup> St NE, and along 13th<\/sup> St NE from 5th<\/sup> Ave NE to 12th<\/sup> Ave NE.<\/p>\n

City Ordinance Section 25-10 requires that a property owner keep the sidewalk adjoining the property clear of snow and ice. Do not deposit snow or ice on the city street after the city plow has cleared the street. These violations are class B misdemeanors under the general penalty and will result in a fine.<\/p>\n

St. Paul (Feb 26, 2019) \u00a0 – The U.S. Army\u00a0 Corps of Engineers, is currently lowering the elevation of Lake Ashtabula, located near Valley City, North Dakota. The current elevation is 1,260.0 feet NGVD29, and it will be further drawn down as far as 1,255 feet NGVD29.<\/p>\n

Jamestown (CSi)\u00a0 Jamestown Police investigated a one vehicle crash Tuesday morning, at 9:10 a.m., at the Taco John\u2019s location, on 10th<\/sup> Street, Southeast.<\/p>\n

A pickup truck crashed into a light pole, at the location.<\/p>\n

Jamestown Area Ambulance Service was called to the scene, to transport the victim for medical attention.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not known if slippery driving conditions contributed to the crash, or another issue.<\/p>\n

Jamestown\u00a0 (CSi)\u00a0 The EZ Wheels Club, an El Zagal Shriners organization in Jamestown will hold Cornhole Tournament Fundraiser on March 9, at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Jamestown.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday\u2019s Wayne Byers Show on CSi Cable 2, EZ Wheels\u00a0 member Craig Beedy said, check in will be from 11-a.m., to 11:45-a.m., and the tournament begins at noon.<\/p>\n

Bags will be provided. Personal bags are not allowed.<\/p>\n

Must be 21 or older to participate.<\/p>\n

All participants must pre-register by contacting Sheldon at the Corner Bar in Jamestown at 701-952-2337, or Cork & Barrell Liquors at 701-952-9463.<\/p>\n

All proceeds for the tournament will be used to support the activities of the EZ Wheels Club.<\/p>\n

The club consists of 25 car and motorcycle enthusiasts, with its mission to assist with transportation costs for families of children 18 years old and younger, being treated at one of the 22 Shriner medical facilities.<\/p>\n

Also on our show El Zagal Shriners, Chairman of the Board, Rick Qual said, the EZ Wheels club works along side of the Jamestown Clowns and the Jamestown Mystics, and the James Valley Shrine Club, sharing the mission.<\/p>\n

Rick said the about 1,000 members serve the region consisting of eastern North Dakota and northwest Minnesota.<\/p>\n

Jamestown\u00a0 (CSi)\u00a0 More than 200 middle school students will receive six hours of personal finance training and hands-on experience during the \u201cReal World\u201d Financial Literacy Camp in Jamestown.<\/p>\n

The event will be held at the Jamestown Civic Center on Thursday, March 14th.<\/p>\n

Students receive six lessons on managing money and will then be assigned a mock life scenario with a job and a family. They\u2019ll then be \u201csent out to live their life in the \u2018Real World City\u2019 where 23 local vendors have set up shop.<\/p>\n

The \u201cReal World\u201d Financial Literacy Camp is sponsored by ND Jump$tart Coalition and is a free learning event thanks to the donations and free-will offerings of local community businesses and agencies, such as, the North Dakota Securities Department.<\/p>\n

Valley City \u00a0\u00a0(CSi)\u00a0 Valley City Public Schools, has issued a statement concerning, a partnership with Village Family Service Center.<\/p>\n

School Superintendent Josh Johnson says, \u201cThe Valley City Public School Board and Education Foundation is pleased to announce a partnership with the Village Family Service Center to provide School-Based Mental Health Counseling in the schools beginning the first week of March. This partnership will make available a licensed professional counselor for students in grades K-12 attending Valley City Public Schools.<\/p>\n

The new School-Based Mental Health Counselor at Valley City Public Schools will be available to all students at each school under the guidelines of the Access for All program. The Access for All program was created three years ago and provides unrestricted access for students in need of mental health counselors.<\/p>\n

Education Foundation Director Shari Larson, says,\u00a0 \u201cThis partnership with the Village strengthens the Access for All program at Valley City Public Schools and will better serve the needs of all students. The Foundation is grateful for the support of our community which provides funding and resources to allow us to create these important partnerships.”<\/p>\n

Johnson adds, “Our staff have identified the needs of our students in our schools and this new partnership with Village Family Service Center, Education Foundation, and Valley City Public Schools will allow us to better meet the growing mental health needs of our students, improve accessibility for students, and better utilize the financial resources of the Access for All program and the Education Foundation.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jamestown (NDFU)\u00a0 \u00a0\u2013 The creation and reveal of a Family Farms chopper \u2013 designed and built by Paul Teutul, Jr., of Paul Jr. Designs \u2013 will be revealed on the Discovery Channel\u2019s \u201cAmerican Chopper\u201d program on Tuesday, March 5, at 9 p.m. CST. (CSi Cable Channel 19)<\/p>\n

The chopper, which was built in Orange County (N.Y.), was commissioned by North Dakota Farmers Union (NDFU). The episode features an interview with NDFU President Mark Watne in the organization\u2019s Founding Farmers restaurant in King of Prussia, Pa. The motorcycle was revealed in December at the organization\u2019s annual convention in Bismarck, but no videos or photos were shared.<\/p>\n

Teutul says, \u201cI appreciate Farmers Union completely trusting me with their brand. I know it\u2019s a leap of faith. My goal is to mold the family farms message into a work of art that people will want to see. Ultimately, they\u2019ll learn more about Farmers Union and the importance of family farm agriculture.\u201d<\/p>\n

The motorcycle operates on E30 and continues Farmers Union\u2019s efforts to create demand for corn and higher ethanol blends.<\/p>\n

Valley City\u00a0 (CHI Mercy Health Care Foundation) CHI Mercy Health Foundation has received a $1000 donation for Giving Hearts Day from First Community Credit Union of Valley City. The Foundation is thankful to have received this major gift, which brought our Giving Hearts Day 2019 total to $11,000 raised!<\/p>\n

Stephanie Mayfield in the CHI Mercy Health Care Foundation Office \u00a0says their \u00a0goal was to raise enough funds to purchase 2 Vital Sign Monitors and 1 infusion recliner for our Outpatient IV Therapy Department. She says they \u00a0close to having raised enough to purchase the two vital sign monitors.<\/p>\n

The Ambulatory Care or Outpatient IV Therapy Department is an important service of the hospital and had 600 visits in 2018. This service allows the residents of Barnes County to stay \u201clocal\u201d for their infusions and to save anywhere between one to twelve hours of travel time for their treatments. (AP) \u2014 A New York City woman severely injured while protesting the Dakota Access oil pipeline in North Dakota is asking a federal judge to let her lawsuit against law enforcement proceed.Sophia Wilansky alleges her left arm was nearly blown off by a police flashbang device in November 2016. She’s seeking millions<\/a> in damages for claims including excessive force and defamation.Police maintain her injury was caused by a propane canister protesters rigged to explode and that she’s to blame for her own injury. Last month they asked that the lawsuit be thrown out<\/a> .Wilansky’s attorneys in their response say she deserves a chance to gather more evidence from the government to prove her claims. They say the government’s assertions that law officers did not use excessive force fall flat.<\/article>\n

HANOI, Vietnam (AP) \u2014 The roller coaster of U.S.-North Korea relations revs up again this week when President Donald Trump meets for a second time with Kim Jong Un. Trump has gone from threatening North Korea with “fire and fury” to saying he and Kim are in love. Kim once called Trump a dotard and now pledges to denuclearize his nation and turn his energy toward developing his country’s economy. President Donald Trump has declared a national emergency along the southern border to fund a wall.WASHINGTON (AP) \u2014 Democrats are poised to ram legislation through the House Tuesday blocking President Donald Trump from steering billions of extra dollars to his Southwest border wall. Top Republicans are working to keep GOP defections low enough to ensure that a Trump veto would stand. The House chamber is expected to approve the measure Tuesday afternoon and send it to the Republican-held Senate, where it would take only a handful of GOP defections to pass.WASHINGTON (AP) \u2014 President Donald Trump’s ex-lawyer is now an ex-lawyer. (AP) \u2014 The Republican candidate whose apparent victory in a North Carolina congressional race was thrown out because of suspicions of ballot fraud says he will not run in the newly ordered do-over election. In a statement, Mark Harris said Tuesday he’s skipping the upcoming re-do election in North Carolina’s 9th congressional district for health reasons. Harris says he needs surgery that’s scheduled for late March.<\/p>\n
