Mary, Saturday night, sweeps"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>MANDAN, N.D.\u00a0 (uj.edu) <\/strong>&#8212; Two first-period goals proved to be enough offense for the University of Jamestown hockey team as the Jimmies avenged Friday&#8217;s home defeat with a 2-1 victory over the University of Mary Saturday evening.<\/p>\n<p><a id=\"rosterLink0\" class=\"rosterProfileLink  \" href=\"http:\/\/www.jimmieathletics.com\/roster\/19\/33\/7458.php\">Jason Richter<\/a> (JR\/Cranbrook, British Columbia) and <a id=\"rosterLink1\" class=\"rosterProfileLink \" href=\"http:\/\/www.jimmieathletics.com\/roster\/19\/33\/7473.php\">Garret Browning<\/a> (JR\/Winnipeg, Manitoba) lit the lamp for Jamestown as the score was 2-0 after one. Richter&#8217;s goal, assisted by <a id=\"rosterLink2\" class=\"rosterProfileLink   \" href=\"http:\/\/www.jimmieathletics.com\/roster\/19\/33\/7808.php\">Graham Day<\/a>, came at the 6:52 mark while <a id=\"rosterLink3\" class=\"rosterProfileLink   \" href=\"http:\/\/www.jimmieathletics.com\/roster\/19\/33\/8147.php\">Phoenix McElroy-Scott<\/a> and <a id=\"rosterLink4\" class=\"rosterProfileLink   \" href=\"http:\/\/www.jimmieathletics.com\/roster\/19\/33\/7469.php\">Jeremy McNeil<\/a> set up Browning&#8217;s goal at 13:19.<\/p>\n<p>The Marauders outshot the Jimmies 24-6\u00a0in the second period and were able to cut the lead in half on Marshall Tschida&#8217;s goal with 57 seconds left in the period.<\/p>\n<p>Neither team was able to find a goal in the third as the gamed ended in favor of the Jimmies.<\/p>\n<p>UJ goaltender <a id=\"rosterLink5\" class=\"rosterProfileLink \" href=\"http:\/\/www.jimmieathletics.com\/roster\/19\/33\/8233.php\">David Anderson<\/a> (JR\/Santa Clarita, Calif.) made 51 saves, including 22\u00a0in the third period.<\/p>\n<p>Both teams came up empty on the power play. Jamestown was 0-for-4 and UMary 0-for-6.<\/p>\n<p>The win evened the season series at 2-2, with both team&#8217;s wins coming on the road.<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown will take on Minot State next weekend in a best-of-three series.
