(AP) \u2014 Authorities say they&#8217;ve found the bodies of two men whose garbage truck was found in a flooded South Dakota river.The men were last seen Thursday driving away from a landfill in Mitchell. Crews spotted a damaged guardrail Saturday on a highway along the James River <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/f5de904b92ea4482af5da005da525a18\">and later found the truck.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The South Dakota Highway Patrol says the bodies of the 61-year-old driver and 46-year-old passenger were inside the truck when it was pulled from the river Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>The patrol says equipment failure likely caused the crash, but that the investigation is ongoing.<\/p>\n<p>Three deaths have been blamed so far on flooding along the Missouri River and its tributaries. Two men remain <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/ef1c3f4367f74afe8dbb8f9d8921b914\">missing<\/a> in Nebraska.<\/p>\n<p>The flooding has also damaged thousands of homes and inundated <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/6d66f63a5f76410596387befc20ccdee\">vast swaths of agricultural land<\/a> in <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/ebaa8bbfdc06414196cce457cd2bfd8f\">Nebraska,<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/cc5a796b2eab4784900e853f1ba8d854\">Iowa<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/989eeba58b2b4089992441516e8225f5\">Missouri.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/article>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>PIERRE, S.D.
