While the heaviest snowfall is expected across much<br \/>\nof South Dakota, <strong>far southern North Dakota has a potential of<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>receiving 3 to 6 inches of snow<\/strong>. He came back inside, pointed a gun at them and told them to go into a back room and take off their clothes, according to court records.<\/p>\n<div id=\"jobsHQ-hotjobs-single-0\" class=\"jobsHQ-hotjobs-single\"><\/div>\n<p>Kline told authorities he started drinking around 6 p.m. and remembers coming to the bar and ordering two shots, but had no memory of the incident, according to court records. Kline told police he doesn\u2019t carry a gun when he is drinking.<\/p>\n<p>Kline\u2019s bail is set at $25,000 cash-only or $250,000 bond. (AP) \u2014 Firefighters used drone technology to help battle a house fire near Kindred.<\/p>\n<p>Officials say the Cass County Sheriff&#8217;s Office drone gave firefighters an aerial view of the fire which allowed them to attack the hot spots.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kvrr.com\/2019\/04\/06\/fire-destroys-home-near-kindred-crews-use-drone-to-help-battle-blaze\/\"> KVRR<\/a> reports Kindred Fire Chief Rich Schock says the roof had collapsed and the walls were bulging making it unsafe for firefighters to enter Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>One person who was home at the time the fire broke out escaped without injury.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Update&#8230;<\/p>\n<article id=\"story_content\" class=\"summary ap-serif d-block mb-3\">TIOGA, N.D. (AP) \u2014 The North Dakota Highway Patrol says foggy conditions were present during two separate fatal crashes in Williams County.The latest happened shortly before midnight Sunday when the driver of a pickup truck missed a stop sign at Highways1804 and 21 near Tioga and struck a Jeep.<\/p>\n<p>A 16-year-old passenger in the Jeep, Alexis Meduna, of Williston, was killed. The Jeep&#8217;s 16-year-old male driver and the man behind the wheel of the pickup were injured and taken to Tioga Medical Center.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier Sunday, 37-year-old Jason Morgan, of Williston, was killed in a crash involving a van and a semitrailer in foggy conditions.<\/p>\n<p>The Highway Patrol says Morgan failed to stop at a red light on U.S. Highway 2 near Willison and crashed into the semi about 1:30 a.m.<\/p>\n<\/article>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) \u2014 Grand Forks police are investigating what appears to be a hit-and-run fatality.<\/p>\n<p>Officers responded to the scene about 5 a.m. Sunday and found a female who was pronounced dead while being transported to a hospital. Her name and age weren&#8217;t immediately released.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities say evidence at the scene indicates the person was struck by a vehicle. Police are asking anyone with information to contact them.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) \u2014 Fire damaged a Bismarck landscaping business, but firefighters kept the flames from spreading to an area of the building with chemicals.<\/p>\n<p>Firefighters responded to Fertilawn shortly after 3 p.m. Saturday. Police blocked off a large area around the building out of concern that chemicals could catch fire. But the fire was contained to a shop area that contained only lawn mowers and tools.<\/p>\n<p>No one was at the business at the time and no injuries were reported.<\/p>\n<p>The cause of the fire wasn&#8217;t immediately determined but is believed to be accidental.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>FARGO, N.D. (AP) \u2014 A priest in the Catholic Diocese of Fargo has been placed on leave while police investigate his conduct with youth.<\/p>\n<p>Bishop John Folda says police informed him of some concerns regarding Father Wenceslaus Katanga&#8217;s interaction with a minor while ministering at Sts. Anne and Joachim Catholic Church in Fargo. Those concerns have not been made public.<\/p>\n<p>Katanga currently serves at St. Patrick&#8217;s Catholic Church in Wishek, St. Andrew&#8217;s Catholic Church in Zeeland and St. David&#8217;s Catholic Church in Ashley. Katanga has not been charged with any wrongdoing. He did not immediately return a call for comment.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) \u2014 North Dakota&#8217;s Republican-led House wants to force GOP Gov. Doug Burgum to take a salary.<\/p>\n<p>The first-term governor and wealthy former software executive ran on a campaign promise to forgo his salary due to tough spending decisions with a downturn in the state&#8217;s energy economy at the time.<\/p>\n<p>House and Senate negotiators two years ago compromised by attaching &#8220;legislative intent&#8221; to the budget bill that makes clear Burgum was expected to take his pay but the money cannot be spent for any other purpose if he doesn&#8217;t.<\/p>\n<p>House budget writers now want to go a step further and have included language in the governor&#8217;s budget bill that requires Burgum to take his salary and pay the taxes.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s among several issues remaining as the Legislature nears the session home stretch.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) \u2014 Officials are closing a bridge connecting Grand Forks, North Dakota, and East Grand Forks, Minnesota, in anticipation of Red River flooding.<\/p>\n<p>The Sorlie Bridge is to close at noon Monday, so crews can install closure mechanisms before water floods the road.<\/p>\n<p>The National Weather Service says warming temperatures and rain will lead to widespread overland flooding and potential ice jams on streams and rivers in the Red River Valley early this week.
