(AP) \u2014 A man shot by McKenzie County deputies has been sentenced to two years in prison after pleading guilty to terrorizing and assault.<\/p>\n Forty-two-year-old Lonny Campbell was shot last October after deputies responded to a report that he had struck and injured a woman in Alexander.<\/p>\n The Bismarck Tribune reports court documents say Campbell refused to leave the home and pointed a gun at officers at least twice. A Northwest District judge has also ordered Campbell to service two years of probation and pay $2,000 in restitution.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n FARGO, N.D. (AP) \u2014 A confrontation at a meeting of city commissioners in Fargo has prompted new discussions about security.<\/p>\n Police escorted a man with a history of conflicts with local government and law enforcement out of city hall Monday after he rushed to the front of commission chambers and accused Mayor Tim Mahoney and some police officers of being involved in a theft ring.<\/p>\n KFGO reports Mahoney says the episode “begs the question” about the need for additional security measures. (AP) \u2014 A pastor who spoke to hundreds of people gathered at a memorial service for four people killed at a Mandan business last week called it an “unfair and completely wicked act” but it should not bring out the worst in people.<\/p>\n Business co-owner Robert Fakler and three employees, William and Lois Cobb and Adam Fuehrer, were found shot and stabbed at RJR Maintenance and Management last Monday.<\/p>\n A joint memorial service was held Tuesday at the Bismarck Community Church. The Rev. Jared Lee posted audio of his message on the church’s YouTube channel, telling the Bismarck Tribune that while the families are suffering, the community also is affected.<\/p>\n Morton County prosecutors have charged 44-year-old Chad Isaak, a Washburn chiropractor, will killing the four. Doug Burgum hasn’t convinced lawmakers that a state agency can do a better job of administering North Dakota’s Medicaid expansion program.<\/p>\n A House Appropriations subcommittee that reviews human services spending failed to endorse the idea on Tuesday. That mirrors what the Senate had done earlier.<\/p>\n Burgum pitched the idea in his state-of-the-state address in January, saying handling the Medicaid expansion program in-house would be more efficient and less costly. Burgum says savings to the program would be reinvested in other health initiatives.<\/p>\n The governor’s idea has drawn intense opposition from lobbyists representing the state’s biggest hospital group and the company providing coverage for North Dakota’s Medicaid expansion.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) \u2014 The impoverished Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota is bracing for another major winter storm and renewed flooding that is forecast for a wide swath of the Plains and Midwest.<\/p>\n The National Weather Service says the storm moving east out of the northern Rockies Wednesday and Thursday will pack heavy snow and strong winds.
