Friday looks to be the warmest day for quite some time, with highs in the upper 50s to mid 60s.<\/p>\n
A cold front<\/a> will move down from Canada Friday night through<\/p>\n Saturday afternoon, bringing a chance of rain showers as it moves<\/p>\n through. Temperatures behind the front<\/a> are only expected to warm<\/p>\n into the upper 40s to mid 50s Saturday afternoon.<\/p>\n An active<\/a> pattern looks to continue into early next week, with several<\/p>\n chances for rain and well below normal<\/a> temperatures. Expect highs<\/p>\n mainly in the 50s through the middle of next week.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The goal of the exercise was to test the Communications Center\u2019s internal notification procedures county-wide including the testing of area community siren systems.<\/p>\n Stutsman County Emergency Manager, Jerry Berquist says, the siren systems for Jamestown, Buchanan, Cleveland, Medina and Streeter were tested, all of which proved to be operational and ready for the summer weather season.<\/p>\n Because the National Weather Service did not participate in the simulation, the all-hazards weather radio system and the Emergency Alert System (EAS) for AM\/FM radio stations and cable television providers were not<\/u> activated. (AP) \u2014 North Dakota regulators have approved a siting permit for a natural gas liquids pipeline project in the western part of the state.The state Public Service Commission says in a release that ONEOK Bakken Pipeline, LLC, will build the 77-mile long pipeline that will start at the company\u2019s natural gas processing plant in McKenzie County and connect with another pipeline in Richland County, Montana. The project is estimated to cost $125 million.The 20-inch steel pipeline is designed to carry a maximum of 1,680,000 gallons per day.PSC Commissioner Julie Fedorchak says the project attempts to minimize impact to landowners and the environment by combining the line with an existing pipeline corridor for 51 of the 77 total miles.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n GRAND FORKS, N.D.
