\"\"Jamestown\u00a0 (CSi)\u00a0 The Jamestown High School Girl\u2019s Soccer team will host a Military Appreciation Night on Tuesday, May 14, at the High School, Rotary Soccer Field.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday\u2019s Wayne Byers Show on CSi Cable 2, Stutsman County Veteran\u2019s Service Office, David Bratton said, all military veterans and active military will be admitted free.<\/p>\n

The team is partnering with the North Dakota National Guard.<\/p>\n

The Junior Varsity game starts at 5:30-p.m., with the Varsity game set to start at 7:30-p.m.<\/p>\n

Also on our show David pointed out that the Ninth Annual Fargo VA2K event will be held on Wednesday May 15th<\/sup> from 11-a.m. to 1-p.m., to support homeless veterans, including food items, through the VA Homeless Outreach Program.\u00a0 Participants should meet at the flagpole area.<\/p>\n

In other updates, David said that the VA has launched a digital campaign encouraging\u00a0 mental health conversations during this May as Mental Health Awareness month.\u00a0 For more information on line go to www.maketheconnection.net<\/a><\/p>\n

He also said that Disabled veterans with a disability of 50 percent, or greater, with a service related disability and former POW\u2019s are eligible to \u00a0receive a free North Dakota State Park pass.<\/p>\n

A reduced cost annual permit is available for all other veterans with service related disabilities at $28 dollars.\u00a0 His office has more information.<\/p>\n

September 8-13 this year, the National Disabled\u00a0 Veterans golf, Tee Tournament will be held in Iowa City, Iowa, with more information as well available at his office.<\/p>\n

David added that there is a delay in the opening of the National Veterans Cemetery near Fargo, due to flooding this spring, with the opening now planned this fall.\u00a0 A full-time employee for the cemetery administration position has been hired, with \u00a0training at Ft. Snelling, Minnesota.<\/p>\n

The Stutsman County Veterans Service Office is located in the basement of the Law Enforcement Center in Jamestown, with office hours Monday-Friday from 8-a.m., to noon, and 1-p.m., to 5-p.m.<\/p>\n
