{"id":177629,"date":"2019-08-14T08:00:26","date_gmt":"2019-08-14T13:00:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=177629"},"modified":"2019-08-14T07:22:44","modified_gmt":"2019-08-14T12:22:44","slug":"valley-city-among-tops-in-project-safe-send","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=177629","title":{"rendered":"Valley City among tops in Project Safe Send"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Bismarck\u00a0 (CSi)\u00a0 \u2013 Over 260 tons of unusable pesticides \u2013 an all-time record \u2013 were collected and shipped out of state in the 2019 Project Safe Send collections.<\/p>\n<p>The collections were conducted during July in 12 communities: Wyndmere, Ashley, Bismarck, Hettinger, Dickinson, Tioga, Minot, Harvey, Larimore, Langdon, Devils Lake and <strong>Valley City.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring says, \u201cMore than 350 North Dakota farmers, ranchers, applicators, homeowners and others took part in the collections. This year\u2019s total eclipses the previous record of 190 tons in 2015.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Goehring said the results demonstrate a continued need for the program that enables people to safely and affordably get rid of unusable, unneeded or unwanted pesticides.<\/p>\n<p>Larimore recorded the largest collection with 126,980 pounds. <strong>Valley City was second with 65,998 pounds of unusable pesticides.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Bismarck\u00a0 (CSi)\u00a0 \u2013 Over 260 tons of unusable pesticides \u2013 an all-time record \u2013 were collected and shipped out of state in the 2019 Project Safe Send collections.
