\"\"<\/a>Jamestown (valleynewslive<\/a>)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 A missing Wisconsin man was found dead in a rural area of Stutsman County, North Dakota.\u00a0 Authorities recovered the body of 20 year old Gage Laper,\u00a0 Friday morning in the Windsor area.\u00a0 Valley News Live reports, that\u00a0Stutsman County Sheriff Chad Kaiser, said, \u00a0Laper was pulled from a body water near a sluice at 10:30 a.m. and that foul play isn\u2019t suspected in his death at this time.<\/p>\n

On Labor Day the sheriff’s Office issued an alert,\u00a0for\u00a0a mentally unstable man, who on Monday was aimlessly driving in the Windsor area.<\/p>\n

He abandoned his vehicle on \u00a0Monday and was reported to be on foot. He\u00a0was not wanted for any violations.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday\u00a0 week, Laper\u2019s \u00a0cellphone was found along a fence line in the search area.\u00a0 Efforts Thursday included an aerial search utilizing a drone and five officers on UTVs searching through the area.<\/p>\n

Laper,\u00a0 from Hammond, Wisconsin was reportedly driving to Colorado when his car got stuck in mud Sunday.<\/p>\n

Kaiser said Laper called his mother notifying her he couldn\u2019t move and she tried making arrangements for a tow truck, however, they lost contact.<\/p>\n

Laper\u2019s cell phone was recovered Thursday along a property\u2019s fence line.<\/p>\n

Federal and state agencies assisted the Stutsman County Sheriff\u2019s Office in the department’s effort to locate Laper.<\/p>\n

Kaiser said Laper has no ties to North Dakota.<\/p>\n

An autopsy has been ordered to determine the cause of his death.<\/p>\n

Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office reports, a bloodhound tracked him to I-94 before the storms hit the area Monday afternoon, that washed out roads in the area of the search, making the search \u00a0more difficult.<\/p>\n
