Two University of Jamestown men’s golf scoring records were set Tuesday during the final round of the Jamestown Invitational, held at CrossRoads Golf Course in Carrington.<\/p>\n

In winning individual honors, Austin Rene<\/a> (SR\/Jamestown, N.D.) set a new UJ 36-hole scoring record with a 138 (69-69), breaking the previous mark of 144 (72-72) set by Michael Strain at Jamestown Country Club in 2014.<\/p>\n

The team of Rene, Tate Olson<\/a> (SO\/Cook, Minn.), Treyton Forsman<\/a> (SO\/Lewiston, Idaho), Hudson Roling<\/a> (SO\/Thermopolis, Wyo.), and Cade Kilkenny<\/a> (FR\/Centennial, Colo.) took first with a 581 (295-286), which broke the 36-hole team score of 588 (296-292), set at CrossRoads in 2013.<\/p>\n

Paige Argent<\/a> (JR\/Minot, N.D.) shot a second-round 81 to take individual honors and help the University of Jamestown women’s golf team capture the team title at the Jamestown Invitational, which concluded Tuesday at CrossRoads Golf Course in Carrington.<\/p>\n
