University at Charlie Brown Field.<\/p>\n<p><a id=\"rosterLink0\" class=\"rosterProfileLink   \" href=\"http:\/\/www.JimmieAthletics.com\/roster\/20\/3\/8896.php\">Tayler Cullen<\/a> (JR\/Santa Rosa, Calif.) singled in two runs in the top of the first, then a single by <a id=\"rosterLink1\" class=\"rosterProfileLink   \" href=\"http:\/\/www.JimmieAthletics.com\/roster\/20\/3\/8909.php\">Brian Rice<\/a> (JR\/Vancouver, WA) and a VCSU error made it 4-1 in the top of the second.<\/p>\n<p><a id=\"rosterLink2\" class=\"rosterProfileLink   \" href=\"http:\/\/www.JimmieAthletics.com\/roster\/20\/3\/8558.php\">Kendall Yackley<\/a> (SO\/Lynnwood, WA) homered with one out in the top of the third to push UJ&#8217;s lead to 5-1.<\/p>\n<p>The Vikings made it a two-run game with a pair of runs in the bottom of the fifth.<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown gave themselves a bit of breathing room in the top of the seventh thanks to a solo home run by <a id=\"rosterLink3\" class=\"rosterProfileLink   \" href=\"http:\/\/www.JimmieAthletics.com\/roster\/20\/3\/8551.php\">Ben Pedigo<\/a> (JR\/Olympia, WA) and a two-run pinch-hit single by <a id=\"rosterLink4\" class=\"rosterProfileLink   \" href=\"http:\/\/www.JimmieAthletics.com\/roster\/20\/3\/8526.php\">Braxton Hewitt<\/a> (SO\/Carrington, ND).<\/p>\n<p>VCSU loaded the bases with one out in the bottom of the eighth but only managed to get a single run across as Jimmie reliever <a id=\"rosterLink5\" class=\"rosterProfileLink   \" href=\"http:\/\/www.JimmieAthletics.com\/roster\/20\/3\/8552.php\">Austin Pesicka<\/a> (SR\/West Linn, OR) was able to work out of a jam.<\/p>\n<p>Pedigo, Yackley, and <a id=\"rosterLink6\" class=\"rosterProfileLink   \" href=\"http:\/\/www.JimmieAthletics.com\/roster\/20\/3\/8528.php\">Lincoln Trujillo<\/a> (SR\/Cheyenne, WY) each had two hits for Jamestown. <a id=\"rosterLink7\" class=\"rosterProfileLink   \" href=\"http:\/\/www.JimmieAthletics.com\/roster\/20\/3\/8541.php\">Chase Hacker<\/a> (SR\/Millcreek, WA) and <a id=\"rosterLink8\" class=\"rosterProfileLink   \" href=\"http:\/\/www.JimmieAthletics.com\/roster\/20\/3\/8549.php\">Grant Okawa<\/a> (SR\/Mississauga, ON) also recorded hits.<\/p>\n<p><a id=\"rosterLink9\" class=\"rosterProfileLink   \" href=\"http:\/\/www.JimmieAthletics.com\/roster\/20\/3\/8519.php\">Cameron Jenkins<\/a> (JR\/West Richland, WA) (1-0), the third of five UJ pitchers, pitched two innings of scoreless relief for the win. <a id=\"rosterLink10\" class=\"rosterProfileLink   \" href=\"http:\/\/www.JimmieAthletics.com\/roster\/20\/3\/8537.php\">Mitchell Dennis<\/a> (FR\/Okotoks, AB, Canada) started and went four innings, allowing three runs on two hits with four walks and four strikeouts. <a id=\"rosterLink11\" class=\"rosterProfileLink   \" href=\"http:\/\/www.JimmieAthletics.com\/roster\/20\/3\/8514.php\">Aaron Pugh<\/a> (SR\/Boissevain, MB, Canada) and Pesicka combined to allow an unearned run over the final three innings, striking out five.<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown (2-1) hosts Mayville State (N.D.) Tuesday at Jack Brown Stadium.
