Reed allowed a single to the first batter he faced, then retired 13 of the next 15 hitters. Cameron Jenkins (JR/West Richland, WA) recorded the final out of the sixth and Aaron Pugh (SR/Boissevain, MB, Canada) tossed a scoreless seventh inning for his first save.

Wrigg was 2-for-3 and Jared Bentley (SR/Washougal, WA) added a double.

Jimmies 5, V-Hawks 0 (Game 3)

UJ pitchers extended their streak of shutout innings to 15 as Kendall Yackley (SO/Lynnwood, WA), Sam Rehn (SR/Sunman, IN), Cameron Jenkins, and Chase Hacker (SR/Millcreek, WA) combined to blank Viterbo on six hits in the final game of the day.

Yackley, making his first career start on the mound, scattered five hits in four innings while walking one and striking out one. Rehn, Jenkins, and Hacker all worked an inning in relief.

Noah Matsubara (SO/Okotoks, AB, Canada) scored on an error for UJ’s first run in the top of the first, then following a Dylan Dudley (JR/Cottage Grove, OR) single, Trujillo smashed his second homer of the day to make it 3-0.

Doubles by Matt Meraz (SR/Aurora, CO) and Okawa led to another run in the second, and Braxton Hewitt (SO/Carrington, ND)’s single in the fifth made it 5-0.

Nolan Turin (SO/Sandy, OR) and Connor Mormon (SO/Las Vegas, NV) also had hits for Jamestown, who will next play in Joplin, Mo., February 22-23, 2020.
