\"\"<\/a>Aberdeen, SD\u00a0 \u00a0The Civil Air Patrol (CAP) reports that it continued searching on Sunday for an aircraft that went missing last week, presumably between Aberdeen, South Dakota, and Oakes, North Dakota, last week.<\/p>\n

The news release says, nearly 90 personnel and four aircraft from units in both states participated in Sunday\u2019s efforts.<\/p>\n

The missing aircraft a single-engine Cessna 172, is white with light blue markings. It had one person on board. Authorities believe the missing aircraft has an emergency locator beacon but no signal has been detected.<\/p>\n

The CAP is asking pilots flying in the area to be on the lookout for more aircraft than usual. CAP aircraft are red, white, and blue in color.<\/p>\n

CAP is working closely with officials from Brown County Sheriff\u2019s Office and Emergency Management. Anybody with information about this incident should contact the Brown County Dispatch Office at 605-626-7911.<\/p>\n

The air and ground search will resume on Monday.<\/p>\n

Aberdeen, SD\u00a0 (Valley News Live)<\/a>\u00a0 On Thursday afternoon, Oct 10 the Brown County Sheriff’s Office reported that a single engine aircraft with one occupant, was missing after not arriving\u00a0 at the Oakes Airport.<\/p>\n

The plane left Aberdeen, SD Wednesday, between 10-p.m., and 10:30p.m., heading to Oakes, ND.<\/p>\n

Meints says the pilot was the only occupant of the aircraft.<\/p>\n

The Brown County Sheriff\u2019s Office is asking anyone who may have information to contact Brown County Dispatch at 605-626-7911.<\/p>\n

It left Aberdeen yesterday, 10\/09\/2019 at 2230 headed to Oakes, ND. If anyone has any information please contact Brown County Dispatch at (605) 626-7911 and ask to speak with a Deputy Sheriff.<\/p>\n

(FARGO) Valley News Live<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0The North and South Dakota Wings of the Civil Air Patrol and the United States Air Force are searching for an aircraft that went missing Wednesday, presumably between Aberdeen, S.D. and Oakes, N.D.
\nThe missing aircraft is a single-engine Cessna 172, white with light blue markings. It has one soul on board. Authorities believe the missing aircraft does have an emergency locator beacon but there have been no reports of a signal detected.
\nThe winter storm had delayed ground teams and aircraft from starting the search. However, the USAF has been flying two helicopters in the search area. The poor weather has grounded the CAP’s single-engine Cessna 172s and 182s.
\nOnce the storm passes Aberdeen tomorrow, the members of SDWG and NDWG will begin a ground search early Sunday morning. If the weather clears before then, the CAP will begin searching sooner.
\nIf pilots fly in the Aberdeen and Oakes areas Saturday and Sunday, they should be on the lookout for more aircraft than usual. CAP aircraft are red, white, blue, and grey.
