(AP May 7, 2013) \u00a0&#8211; A federal lawsuit filed by a North Dakota woman who said she suffered permanent injuries from a police handcuff incident has been settled out of court.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Cheryl Schultz sued Valley City and two police officers after the March 2009 incident. She claimed she suffered second-degree burns when police used an electric grinder to remove one of the cuffs placed on her wrists when she was arrested for drunken driving.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 She had sought $50,000 in damages.
