{"id":185208,"date":"2019-11-18T07:44:22","date_gmt":"2019-11-18T13:44:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=185208"},"modified":"2019-11-18T07:44:22","modified_gmt":"2019-11-18T13:44:22","slug":"new-state-hospital-being-studied","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=185208","title":{"rendered":"New State Hospital being studied"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>(Prairie Public Radio) \u2013 A new State Hospital will likely be proposed to the 2021 Legislature.<\/p>\n<p>Prairie Public Radion reports, Hospital Superintendent Dr. Rosalie Etherington, says the results of that bed study will be given to the Legislature\u2019s interim Human Services Committee.<\/p>\n<p>Governor Burgum had proposed building a new state hospital in his 2019 executive budget. It was a part of a major change in corrections facilities. The James River Correctional Center is on the same campus as the state hospital.<\/p>\n<p>An interim Legislative committee is also studying North Dakota\u2019s mental health commitment statute\u00a0 and procedures\u00a0 to see if it should be changed.<\/p>\n<div id=\"mep_1\" class=\"mejs-container mejs-container-keyboard-inactive wp-audio-shortcode mejs-audio\" tabindex=\"0\" role=\"application\" aria-label=\"Audio Player\"><\/div>\n<p>Etherington says the education will help make sure people aren\u2019t going without care.
